MSI 2026 Match Review – Bilibili Gaming Versus T1: BLG’s Victory Ends T1’s Undefeated Streak Versus the LPL
Bilibili Gaming’s reward for being the first seed in MSI was to play against T1 in the first round. They barely got past the LCK second seed with a 3-2 victory. BLG often had the draft advantage in all of the games that they won. BLG will go against LYON in the next round. T1 must journey through the MSI Lower Bracket, starting against FURIA.

BLG punishes T1’s top side play and takes the First tower. Bin looks for the solo kill on Doran; however, Peyz’s Deadly Flourish catches him. The teams trade side lane plays and towers, with BLG in a slight lead.
Peyz Finds the Bullet on XUN
Faker finds XUN while he flanks. Peyz follows up with Deadly Flourish and Curtain Call. He gets his bullet past ON for the kill. T1, with the advantage, moves to the Baron. BLG finds Faker to stop the Baron push. XUN also pulls the trigger on Oner, and he dies instantly on the Drake. Keria, Oner, and Doran die in BLG’s top side. BLG turns towards the Baron. However, Peyz and Faker stand tall to kill every BLG member.
Tense Fights Turn Into an Explosion
T1 burst down the Baron after tense fights and tense trading. BLG looks to chase them down to secure position on the Chemtech Soul. However, T1’s turn is perfect, and they get a clean ace to end the game.

Knight Makes T1 Regret Their Dive

Death Before Lane Starts
Peyz and Keria wait in a bush for an early trade. Viper and ON match them to earn the first blood kill for ON. Bin solo kills Doran on his level six timer. Shortly after, Keria and Peyz set up two kills alongside Oner. Both kills go to Peyz. The game becomes a battle between Bin and Peyz. Both players have a 1k gold lead over their opponents. Each team is playing for their fed members.
Keria and Peyz Unlocked
T1 continues to play around Peyz as he builds his lead thanks to his team. He nearly has a 3k gold lead at 14 minutes. T1 commits to a play to shut Bin down. Peyz picks up the kill. T1 overstays after the Rift Herald and kills Bin again. Every play T1 makes in the mid-game is successful. BLG can not play through Bin anymore, and they bleed out until T1 wins.
Desperation From BLG
After BLG catch Oner in their jungle, they go for a Hail Mary play. They kill Peyz, but XUN gets the shutdown. T1 bites back and trades kills. With no route to the Drake, BLG has to give up the Cloud Soul. ON finds the angle on Peyz, giving BLG a window to move to Baron. However, Faker chunks XUN, which forces them off the objective. With Peyz respawning, they take the Baron. BLG earns a fight at the Elder Drake. They crumble, and the series goes to Silver Scrapes.

BLG Win Early
All of BLG’s lanes get an advantage in the early game. XUN gets three marks without needing a kill. Oner tries to target XUN, but with Lamb’s Respite and his bot lane, XUN turns around for a kill on Oner. BLG now has a 2k gold lead. T1 can not find an angle to get back at BLG in the early game. Only Doran has a gold lead for T1.
T1 Bite Back
Faker wins the 1v1 against Knight, bringing back some momentum. After taking the two mid towers, BLG tries to target Doran and take the Baron. Doran lives, buying space for T1 to take the mid tower and bot plates. T1 tries to force Baron, but BLG matches the call. Oner dies, and XUN gets the objective. They kill everyone besides Faker. BLG also gets the Mountain Soul. With the Baron and Mountain Soul, BLG pushes for the end.

MSI 2026: Series Ratings

Bilibili Gaming
Bin – 5.0
Bin was a passenger for most of the MSI series. Even in the Jax game, where he had a lead, it was matchup-dependent, and he did not have to use it to win. The only game where his lead mattered, T1 shut him down.
XUN – 7.0
XUN was impressive throughout, with his only weak performance in game four. The Kindred was a lights-out pick, and he showed why everyone fears him on the champion.
Knight – 7.2 (Total Apex Player of the Series)
Knight, the Golden Left Hand, showed up big once again. He had the perfect draft for Swain and executed it. He landed every Nevermore to take over the game. Even in BLG’s losses, Knight stood tall against T1.
Viper – 6.2
Similar to Bin, Viper was often a passenger to BLG’s success. The difference being that he was solid throughout the games. He did a great job of keeping Peyz quiet in the third game.
ON – 6.6
When ON was allowed to roam, he made a significant impact on the map. He was a big part of BLG’s game three lead. He targeted Faker, allowing Knight to build an individual lead. Once he fell behind on Elise, he struggled, but had a couple moments of brilliance.
T1
Doran – 5.4
Doran had his usual unnecessary deaths throughout the MSI series. The team bailed him out in game four after he died solo to Bin. He fell behind on Zaahen, but there is little he could do in the matchup.
Oner – 5.6
Oner had a polarizing series. He had moments of brilliance, but also struggled to find a way in the series. The drafts did not help him, especially in game five. He had little to do on Trundle, and his only play was a mistake.
Faker – 5.8
Faker still has the mechanics to keep up with other players. His Cassiopeia was phenomenal, and the mechanics to solo kill in Game 5 were impressive. BLG targeted him on Annie, never letting him have the impact he wanted.
Peyz – 6.2
When Peyz had the space to carry, he did. He, alongside Faker, clawed the first game back. He dominated with Keria on the Mel and Pyke. For the rest of the series, he never had the space to open up in teamfights.
Keria 5.4
Keria took a while to wake up in the series. He had a few mistakes on Nautilus, Camille, and Leona. The Pyke game was nearly flawless. Once he was off proactivity, he could not impact the map or the game as Lulu.
