What we know about the One Month Mark movie
Lawrence is attached to star and will produce through her Excellent Cadaver banner. Sophie Fleur de Bruijn wrote the script. The story pairs a woman who has never lasted a month in a relationship with a man who has never gone a month without one.
Apple Studios and Chernin Entertainment are producing, with David Ready and Peter Chernin among the producers, according to The Playlist.
A spec script that drew a crowd
The script became one of the most-chased spec projects this summer. Deadline said more than 40 producers pursued it before Chernin Entertainment won it in an auction and Apple came aboard. Lawrence then pushed for Stupnitsky to direct.
Why Stupnitsky fits
Stupnitsky directed Lawrence in the 2023 comedy No Hard Feelings. He also directed 2019’s Good Boys, co-created the Emmy-nominated series Jury Duty and co-wrote Bad Teacher. He is currently producing Sony’s Narcs, Deadline said.
What is next for the One Month Mark movie
No co-star has been announced, and Apple has not set a production start or release date. Until Stupnitsky’s deal closes, the director job is not official.
