The Hollow Moon movie, an indie sci-fi film starring Jena Malone and Dermot Mulroney, has landed a world sales deal and a new title, according to Deadline. Essential Film Group boarded world sales on the film, which was previously known as Moon People.

What the Hollow Moon movie is about

The story follows astronauts who travel to the Moon to confirm the discovery of water. They then face unexpected danger and fight to survive.

Malone plays Dr. Jennifer Foster, and Mulroney plays Sam Foster. Mekhi Phifer plays Josh Briley, and Vannessa Vasquez plays Dr. Diana Alvarez. Stanley Yung directed from a script by Niko Foster.

Production and what is next

Al Bravo Films produced the movie. Al Bravo, Michael Pizzimenti and Tim Sabo are producers, and Renata Stiglich and Pejman Partiyeli are executive producers. Hemdee Kiwanuka, Jacov Bresler and Michelle Wang are co-producers. Filming took place in Lexington, Kentucky, and the Hollow Moon movie is in post-production. No release date has been announced.
