PowerWash Simulator is a simulator game, which, you guessed it, lets you clean different objects, structures, and even different locations with your trusty tool, the power washer. PowerWash Simulator has gained a lot of popularity, even among simulator games, garnering overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam and spawning a sequel. Developer FuturLab has consistently put out DLC content and updates for the game, including the SpongeBob SquarePants, Back to the Future, Warhammer 40,000, Shrek, Wallace & Gromit, Tomb Raider, and Final Fantasy Special Packs.
Alice in Wonderland is the latest DLC addition that was added to PowerWash Simulator, and it’s just as surreal and curious as you would expect it to be. According to the DLC update:
The once vivid kingdom of Wonderland has found itself doused in detritus – the calamitous aftermath of the biggest threat the realm has ever seen… a curious little girl.
Take a trip down the rabbit hole to uncover a topsy-turvy, swizzy, whirly world of psychedelic colours, maximalist décor and larger than life locales.
You’ll not always be sure what it is you’re washing – is it a carpet or a clock? A carrot or a cup? Sure, you’ll wash walls and tables and floors, but here even the doors have doors. And if you find your mind wander as you power wash and ponder “what does a caterpillar wear to bed?”, you might just look up to find the answer directly ahead.
Fact is fickle, but fiction is fate – your destiny is fixed for big things. Royal things. Big, royal things, as you clean your way through quirky and quaint homes, you’ll tread a muddy path all the way to throne, visiting:
• Wonderland’s Entrance Hall
• White Rabbit’s House
• Caterpillar’s Mushroom
• Mad Tea Party
• Queen of Hearts’ CourtAn all-new outfit, gloves and power washer skin await you in Wonderland, you wouldn’t want to be underdressed for the tea party of the century! Or late, for that matter – what are you waiting for?
Can you clean up and find favour, or will the Queen’s malice for Alice extend to you?
The Alice in Wonderland DLC, dubbed Alice’s Adventures, dropped last week on all platforms, including Apple Arcade. Yes, the game is also available to play on mobile, so mobile players can enjoy the relaxing and satisfying job of cleaning.
The Simulator Craze
Simulator games have been all the rage for the past several years. They give players the satisfaction of mastering complex, real-world tasks in a controlled environment; an escape from reality, if you will. I know I enjoy my fair share of simulator games like TCG Card Shop Simulator and Supermarket Simulator. YouTuber and Twitch streamer Dead Squirrel, who has garnered over 500,000 subscribers on YouTube, is well known for playing dozens of simulator games, including PowerWash Simulator.
I can attest that watching his content is super satisfying, and that it has made me want to play games like these in the first place. PowerWash Simulator has proven itself to be one of the most satisfying simulator games to have come out in recent years. The idea of doing menial tasks, just for the sake of doing them, with no real reward to come out of it, is one of those indescribable feelings of satisfaction.
We don’t know why we enjoy these games so much, or what makes players keep coming back to them, but there’s something special about accomplishing a goal and seeing the aftermath of your efforts in-game. PowerWash Simulator is available to play on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, and iOS and macOS devices, and is also supported on Xbox Game Pass and Apple Arcade.
