‘Wednesday’ season 3 finally wraps filming: Great 2027 news
Netflix has wrapped filming on “Wednesday” season 3, the streamer confirmed Sept. 30. It marked the milestone with a new image of Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams seated at a typewriter, and the show’s official account posted, “Season 3 production has met its grave,” What’s on Netflix reported.
Wednesday season 3 filming timeline
The wrap came after several schedule shifts. Filming in Ireland was first expected to end by the end of May, then by the end of August, according to What’s on Netflix. The outlet’s most recent estimate had pointed to mid-October, so production finished earlier than that projection but later than the original targets.
When will Wednesday season 3 premiere?
Netflix has confirmed the new season will arrive in 2027 but has not announced a date. With six to eight months of post-production ahead, What’s on Netflix expects a release in late spring or, more likely, summer 2027.
Season 2 was released in two parts, on Aug. 6 and Sept. 3, 2025.
Who’s in the cast
Ortega leads the cast again, with Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan and Joy Sunday among the returning ensemble. Winona Ryder joined season 3 earlier this year, reuniting with Ortega and executive producer and director Tim Burton, The Playlist reported. Guest stars listed by What’s on Netflix include Joanna Lumley, Lena Headey, Chris Sarandon, Andrew McCarthy, James Lance and Fred Armisen.
