Tyler Maxwell Renaud in Disclosure Day (2026), with wide eyes is lying on a surface with bright lights reflecting above him.

“Disclosure Day” is a 2026 movie that was directed by noted director Steven Spielberg. It is a thrilling drama with great action. The movie follows the lives of Daniel Kellner (played by Josh O’Connor) and Margaret Fairchild (played by Emily Blunt), who were imbued with superpowers by aliens. She, if she looks at you, can tell everything about you; he has an incredible aptitude for mathematics.

“Disclosure Day” has strong supporting performances from Jane (played by Eve Hewson), who is Daniel’s girlfriend, and a former novice at a Washington DC convent. There is also a strong supporting performance from Margaret’s boyfriend Jackson (played by Wyatt Russell). And finally, there is a strong villain in the evil Noah Scanlon (played by Colin Firth). These strong performances help make the movie. Do you believe we are not alone in the Universe?

“Disclosure Day” Quick Verdict

8/10

“Disclosure Day” should appeal to most viewers. It is action-packed and has big news, with viable proof of aliens. The news of the aliens trumps a potential World War 3 (with North Korea invading South Korea), Morgan is an aspiring TV news anchor, and announces it. However, the thing that makes the movie alluring makes it potentially unbelievable.

The movie follows the lives of Morgan and Daniel, who were touched by aliens. Daniel worked for a super-secret government agency that had kept news of aliens secret for 70 years. He defected, seeking to share the news of the aliens with the population of the world. Most of the movie is the agency, headed by Scanlon, pursuing him in a series of near-miss thrilling encounters.

Daniel eventually links up with Margaret and, after being saved by Jane, succeeds in getting the news of the aliens out to the world. That news trumps the news of a potential World War 3, touched off by North Korea invading South Korea. Scanlon pursues Daniel, and now Margaret, right until the very end, when he finally relents. In the final scene, an old alien comes to see Margaret and Daniel.

“Disclosure Day” does have several pros. The movie is action-packed. That makes the movie riveting to view. Also, the story is mind-blowing. The movie builds to its extra-terrestrial ending. We finally see an alien and the story comes together at the end. Finally, the movie has strong acting performances from the stars, and supporting actors who are the boyfriend and girlfriend of the lead characters.

Viewers in the Mid-Atlantic should also liked that the movie is set in the Washington DC Area. There is a super-secret government agency as well. The government hijinx and the greater Washington DC setting is yet another strength of this movie.

Is the Plot Unbelievable?

The biggest con of “Disclosure Day” is the incredible news that we are not alone in the universe. This question has been a subject of human questioning since the dawn of time. The fact that Jane was a novice in a convent allows viewers to get the take of the Catholic Church on the news. The main plot-line of the movie might be unbelievable.

Another puzzling feature of “Disclosure Day,” as is the case with all action movies, is the fact that the action scenes are fantastic, maybe too fantastic. There are numerous car chases in this movie, including one that ends at a cliff and one the involves two speeding trains. They are fun to watch, but might not be realistic.

“Disclosure Day” Final Verdict

This is a movie you want to see on the big screen. The action scenes alone make the movie worth viewing in a movie theater. You can look forward to an alluring, if slightly incredible, story. Maybe the best way to see this movie is, perhaps, when there is some kind of movie theater deal.
