Daily Devotional Monday Motivation | July 6, 2026

In daily devotional, a person reads/studies the Bible.

Happy Monday! It’s time for your daily devotional. As a Christian, you’ll experience persecution. However, you’re not alone; it affects all believers. That may not be comforting, but you must develop a healthy attitude because God allows it. Instead of crumbling, let it make you more resilient. In today’s daily devotional, Jesus overcame persecution, so can you.

Jesus Authorized Your Power

In John 16:33, Jesus gave His disciples a promise: “In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” The word “tribulation” in its original language means persecution or trouble. Here’s a question: if you never face persecution, how will you experience overcoming it? Jesus authorized your power over the enemy; therefore, fear not.

Trials sharpen your spiritual fortitude and test your faith. Challenges test your love, forgiveness, and patience. Paul compares you to a soldier geared up for battle. Your attire suggests there will be warfare. In your daily devotional, as a soldier, the weapons of your warfare are mighty through God.

Take Courage

Realizing you have an enemy who wants to take you out helps you understand why you have trouble. Satan hates God, so he’s your enemy by default. He tried to exalt himself above God’s throne, but got kicked out of heaven and condemned to eternal punishment. Then Jesus came, defeated him, and took what he’d captured from Adam.

By the way, he has no hope of salvation, so he’s crouching to ruin your life. He’ll use anyone he can to assist him. In this daily devotional, take courage, for your spiritual armor—the weapons of your warfare—protect you at all times.

Count It All Joy

James 1:2 says, “to count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations.” In other words, there’s no need to panic, worry, or stress. Some people are in darkness because of ignorance, and some choose it. Humanity is made in the likeness of God; therefore, prayer should be for all men. God may want you to serve as an example of godliness and to pray for them.

Remember that you were once in darkness, but you were translated into the Kingdom of Light. Don’t let persecution rattle your faith. In your daily devotional, when you trust God, no weapon formed against you will prosper. Decide to believe God’s word. It may get challenging, but trust your God to bring you through it.

Listen to the Holy Spirit

When you stay close to God in prayer and listen to the Holy Spirit, there may be times persecution confirms it’s time to go. Before Jesus died, He commanded His disciples to go into all the world and preach the gospel. In Jerusalem, Saul began persecuting believers by entering houses, taking men and women, and throwing them in prison. In Acts 8:4, when persecution struck, “they that were scattered abroad went everywhere preaching the word.”

After Paul’s conversion, he had to leave Lystra, Iconium, Antioch, Thessalonica, Berea, and other places because of persecution. The presence of persecution doesn’t mean God is absent. He was with Paul, just as He was with Job, Joseph, David, and He will be with you. In this daily devotional, focus on your assignment and trust Him to order your steps.

Through God, You Overcome

In Monday’s daily devotional, no believer chooses persecution, but you’re equipped to endure hardness.  Don’t fear a defeated enemy whose position is under your feet. Stand firm. In today’s daily devotional, trust God who goes into the fiery furnace with you. Through Him, you overcome.
