Nintendo is giving Zelda Majora’s Mask fans three free releases this month: a full soundtrack on Oct. 9, daily collectible cards from Nov. 4, and icon parts for Switch Online subscribers.
According to Nintendo’s announcement on its official Japanese X account, the company said: “Now delivering the Majora’s Mask Pack for The Legend of Zelda Collection Cards in Nintendo Today! Music from Majora’s Mask is also scheduled to be available on Nintendo Music. Icon parts are also coming soon.”
Zelda Majora’s Mask Release Dates And Platforms
- Date: Oct. 9, 2026 – Full Majora’s Mask soundtrack arrives on Nintendo Music
- Date: Nov. 4, 2026 – Daily Majora’s Mask digital collectible cards begin on the Nintendo Today app
- Date: TBA – Majora’s Mask icon parts become available to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers

The Nintendo Today app will deliver a new Majora’s Mask collectible card each day starting Nov. 4. Nintendo Music subscribers get the complete Majora’s Mask score on Oct. 9, giving them full access to the soundtrack. Nintendo Switch Online members will be able to customize their Switch profiles with Majora’s Mask icon parts, though no release date for that feature has been announced.
Why It Matters: Background On The Remake Rumors
Speculation about a potential Majora’s Mask remake for Switch 2 has been building for months, according to reports. An IMDB listing that surfaced in early July referenced a project in post-production, and eagle-eyed fans flagged logo discrepancies in the UK broadcast of Nintendo’s Zelda 40th anniversary Direct.
These three free releases mark the fifth potential hint pointing toward a Majora’s Mask Switch 2 remake in a month, stacking on the IMDB listing and the logo inconsistency. Nintendo has not issued a statement confirming or denying a remake is in development.
What Nintendo’s Response Does And Doesn’t Confirm
Nintendo’s move to push out cards, music and icon parts for Majora’s Mask does not directly confirm or deny the remake rumors. But the timing and the emphasis on the classic Zelda title suggest Nintendo wants to keep interest in Majora’s Mask alive right now, whatever the reason.
That distinction matters for fans trying to read the tea leaves. Nintendo has a track record of using cross-platform content drops, like soundtrack releases and icon packs, to mark anniversaries or sustain hype without making a formal announcement. Nothing in the official X post mentions a remake, a Switch 2 port or any new game at all.
What’s Next
The soundtrack lands on Nintendo Music on Oct. 9, with the daily collectible cards following on Nintendo Today starting Nov. 4. No release window, platform confirmation or further detail on a potential remake has come from Nintendo beyond these three free items.
