Two Vegas showgirls in full costume step in to present him with a gleaming golden ticket, good for eight passes to the event for family and friends. Crews explained to guest host Nicole Byer on the Jimmy Kimmel Show that the staggering number came directly from his wearable fitness tracker, which he uses to closely monitor his health at age 57. On one particularly intense filming day, he found himself running across the theater, dancing, hyping up the audience, and maintaining high energy throughout a live taping of America’s Got Talent. Even he could hardly believe the results—7,000 calories burned in a single day.
“I was like, something’s wrong. Like maybe I had my hand near a heater. But it was wild.” – Terry Crews, The Jimmy Kimmel Show via Youtube
Nicole Byer’s response? She laughed, admitting that her own fitness tracker once recorded just 60 steps in a whole day. The contrast was hilarious—and served to highlight just how active Crews is, even in a role that seems less physically demanding at first glance.
On a similar note, Rachel Frederickson, from The Biggest Loser, has been trending in connection with the reality show.
Terry Crews’ Career Built on Movement and Joy
Beyond the calories, Crews shared his deep love for hosting. He attributes much of his ability to perform at that level to discipline, conditioning, and visualization. Every morning, Crews prepares mentally and physically for the day. He visualizes success.
The energy he brings to the AGT stage has made him a global figure in demand for hosting all over the world. His global presence speaks not only to his charisma but to the universal appeal of the show and his positive message.
“White Chicks” and Worldwide Fame of Terry Crews
Though America’s Got Talent has boosted his name recognition, Crews noted that the most talked-about project in his global travels is still the 2004 comedy White Chicks. Whether he’s at a mall or traveling abroad, fans of all ages quote the film to him—including the now-iconic “Making My Way Downtown” scene.
He also revealed a fun behind-the-scenes story: his character in White Chicks was loosely based on a real NFL player he once knew—one who eventually recognized himself in the performance and admitted it.
Speaking of movies, you need to check out Mystic Pizza, a retro classic starring Julia Roberts as it gains rekindled recognition.
