Rachel Frederickson has entered the limelight once again after her win on the reality TV show, The Biggest Loser, during the finale of season 15. That’s quite a lot of seasons, and the fact is, that was over a decade ago. More specficially, season 15 of the Biggest Loser premiered in 2013, meaning Rachel Frederickson won the show and has been off the grid for 12 years.

Her absence from the Netflix documentary, Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser, that came out on the 15th of this month, has made audiences curious to know more about her story.

Following her win, plenty of controversy quickly arose. Before her debut, she was a competitive swimmer, until she became overweight. When Rachel Frederickson began her journey on The Biggest Loser, she weighed 260 pounds. By the finale, she had dropped to 105 pounds—a dramatic transformation that meant she shed over half her body weight. Her weight loss totaled 155 pounds, bringing her BMI down to about 18. This made her the only winner in the show’s history to finish the competition medically underweight, as noted by Glamour.

About a year after her season finale win, Rachel Frederickson wrote a personal article for Today and explained how her, “self-esteem once again was affected by other people’s voices — this time, the kind that live forever in Facebook posts or written in the pages of magazines. People tried to bring me down and (privately) succeeded.”

Shortly after that, she disappeared from the limelight, made her social media private, and started living low-key. During the Netflix interview, Rachel Frederickson is mentioned among the interviews with producers, hosts like Alison Sweeney, trainer Bob Harper, and select contestants. However, Rachel Frederickson is nowhere to be found on the documentary. Now that you understand the situation with her, make sure to read more about other stories on Total Apex Entertainment!
