One of the most anticipated events in the gaming calendar, the Steam Summer Sale, has finally arrived. This sale, alongside its winter counterpart in December, consistently offers the deepest discounts of the year on PC games, both new releases and older classics. Furthermore, players looking to expand their libraries significantly should look into the current promotion, as it presents a seriously tempting opportunity. So, why wouldn’t dedicated gamers resist stocking up when prices plummet across the board?
Steam Summer Savings: Top Games, Lowest Prices
The 2025 Steam Summer Sale runs now through July 10th, featuring many of the year’s top-reviewed titles alongside noteworthy new PC ports from major publishers like Square Enix and PlayStation. Throughout this year’s event, players can sift through the vast array of discounted games, revealing some standout deals this season. For dedicated games, this opportunity to purchase PC games while saving cash is a can’t-miss.
Leading the charge, Death Stranding 2 slashed its price to a mere £14, now boasting a hefty 60% discount. While the game’s PC release is still seemingly distant, picking up the original offers a perfect way to ease that FOMO. Additionally, gamers have shown interest in Elden Ring at the Steam Summer Sale due to its robust 40% off, landing at £30. What’s more, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth matches that discount, bringing it down to £39. If that’s not exciting enough, other gamers are available at these incredibly low prices, including:
- Left 4 Dead 2 – $2 ($10)

Another potential future Game of the Year contender and frequent topic of discussion, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, is also gaining attention. Although the game sports a smaller 10% reduction, the Steam Summer Sale event priced it at £38. Ultimately, UFO 50, last year’s actual Game of the Year winner, is another steal at just £16.80. As a sidenote, layers seeking truly bargain-basement prices should know that the groovy rhythm game Crypt of the Necrodancer dips as low as £1.27.
Adding to the list of discounts, the heavily lesbian-themed visual novel Heaven Will Be Mine is also incredibly affordable at only £2.27, whereas Robocop: Rogue City offers action for a paltry £4.49. The sheer volume of fantastic games available in the Steam Summer Sale at rock-bottom prices right now may leave fans overwhelmed, but in a good way. Maintaining a sensible budget may prove challenging, given the abundance of low-cost games; however, players won’t be deterred from finding a way.
