Daily Devotion Monday Motivation | March 23, 2026
Happy Monday! As you approach Holy Week, remember to be thankful for all God has done for you and for His people throughout the ages. The great things He did in ancient times are for our learning today. God is the same, yesterday, today, and forever. In today’s daily devotion, declare that what He did then, He can do again for you.
God Will Be Honored
When the children of Israel left Egypt, they encamped in the wilderness near the Red Sea. Then Pharaoh, considering the Israelites hemmed in, gathered his army and came after them to bring them back into bondage. Little did Pharaoh know that he was being set up for a battle he couldn’t win. In Exodus 19:4, God told Moses, “And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am the Lord.” In your daily devotion, when God is for you, your enemy is no match for the power that’s on your side.
Pillar of Fire
Pharaoh’s army chased after the Israelites, confident of victory. However, Pharaoh didn’t anticipate God would part the sea as God’s people walked to the other side on dry ground. He didn’t know God would stand between his army and the Israelites as a pillar of fire. He had no idea that as his army attempted to pass over on the same dry land, the water would fall back into the seabed and cover them. In today’s daily devotion, stand still and see the awesome power of God. Never doubt that He will work miracles on your behalf.
Miriam Leads Praise

When the children of Israel were safely on the other side, Miriam led the women in a praise for deliverance. Exodus 15:20 says, “Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.” In this daily devotion, praise God whenever He blesses you, and don’t forget what He has done. His deliverance today means He can deliver you from whatever you will face tomorrow.
Another Great Miracle
Joshua had replaced Moses, and it was time for the Israelites to enter the promised land; however, they needed to cross the Jordan River. The night before, Joshua instructed the people to sanctify themselves, stating that “tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.” They weren’t expecting to see a Red Sea miracle, but God told Joshua that He would show Israel that He was with him as He was with Moses. When the priests leading the congregation stepped into Jordan, the unexpected happened, something they’d only heard their parents describe.
Verse 16 says that “ the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap.” Verse 17 says that “all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan.” God performed a similar miracle, showing them that He is the same God who protected their fathers from Pharaoh’s army. In your daily devotion, praise God for all His mighty works throughout each generation.
Begin to Praise the Lord
In Monday’s daily devotion, it’s not mentioned if the women picked up tambourines and sang praises when they reached the other side. Miriam was no longer there to lead them in song. But in today’s daily devotion, don’t wait for someone to lead you. Lift your voice in praise for what God has done for you and those who came before you.
