Daily Devotion Monday Motivation | March 2, 2026
Happy Monday! It’s time for your daily devotion. Some live apart from societal norms or customs. However, no matter how separated you may feel because of public scrutiny, Jesus is your rescue. In today’s daily devotion, rejoice in the compassion of Jesus, who lifts you out of darkness into light.
Jesus Has Authority
In Mark 4, Jesus begins His ministry after being baptized by John the Baptist, going into the wilderness, and then preaching the gospel of the Kingdom. He starts calling His disciples and gaining popularity by teaching in the synagogue at Capernaum. Verse 22 says, “They were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority.” People could easily distinguish His teaching from that of the scribes. In your daily devotion, realize that some people are scholars, but Jesus is the Word made flesh.
Jesus the Healer
Verse 28 says, “His fame spread abroad throughout all the region round about Galilee. As He rose in prominence, verse 32 attests that “they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.” His authority over evil spirits is apparent, for He “suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.” With more work to fulfill, the distractions of notoriety would be inconvenient. In your daily devotion, Jesus does the will of His Father.
The Leper Approaches

In verse 40, a leper comes to Jesus pleading to be healed. Lepers were outcasts who had to stay outside of society and cry “unclean” if anyone was near. People didn’t welcome their presence; they disdained it. The leper hears of Jesus’s healing power and takes a bold leap by approaching Him. He kneels before Jesus, appealing, “If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.” In verse 41, instead of forcing him to retreat, Jesus ”moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him.” In this daily devotion, know that it’s Jesus’s will to heal, as Hebrews 4:15 declares that He is “touched with the feeling of our infirmities.”
Only One Touch
Jesus does something no one is willing to do when He touches the leper. Individuals with leprosy were ceremonially unclean and socially unacceptable. No one dared touch them. But the One by whose stripes we are healed puts forth His hand. In verse 41, Jesus’s next five words are remarkable: “I will; be thou clean.” In your daily devotion, proclaim that Jesus is your High Priest, and you can come boldly to His throne of grace to obtain mercy and grace in your time of need.
The Leper is Healed
Then immediately, within a split second, what happens next is beyond human rationale. In verse 42, the man’s leprosy disappears, and he’s clean. Rejoice in today’s daily devotion that no matter what rejection you’ve faced, Jesus reaches out and touches you.
Notice Jesus doesn’t recoil at leprosy or demand the leper stay his distance. After healing him, He sends him to the priest as custom dictates. News traveled fast in those regions, and Jesus moved from town to town, telling His disciples in verse 38, “for therefore came I forth.” In today’s daily devotion, proclaim that Jesus came to heal the sick, and there’s nothing too hard for Him.
Step into the Light
In Monday’s daily devotion, Jesus didn’t consider leprosy an insurmountable condition. The Bible declares that nothing is impossible with God. Although the leper had been forced to keep his distance and remain in the shadows, he stepped into the light and received healing. In your daily devotion, step into God’s light and receive your healing today.
