Daily Devotion For Tuesday Thoughts with Total Apex Media | November 18, 2025

It’s Tuesday, and time for your daily devotion. Our Psalm 34 series is in full gear as we follow David, a chief praiser of God. David “goes hard in the paint”; in other words, he gives it his all. He wants everyone to know how good God is. In verses 5-6, David continues to extol the Lord:

They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles.

In today’s daily devotion, don’t shrink back from praising the Lord. Always give it your all.

Look Unto Him

David refers to all who look to the Lord. Everyone who has their hope in the Lord may look to Him. He is your Rock, Fortress, and Deliverer. There’s a saying that you can’t sink deep enough that God can’t pull you out. When David was in Gath, he was in a deep place. Yet the Lord delivered him.

He exclaims in Psalm 40:2, “He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock.”  In Monday’s daily devotion, look to God with full confidence; He will bring you out.

Be Enlightened

A part of the Aaronic blessing that Biblical priests prayed over God’s people is in Numbers 6:25: “The Lord make His face shine upon you.” God is Light, and He brings light to those who seek Him. As a believer, you’ve been translated from darkness to light.

In other Bible translations, the word light is “radiant”; God makes you radiant with His glory. In today’s daily devotion, declare that you’ll be a light that points others to Christ.

No Shame

There is never a time when God’s people will be ashamed or confused because they put their trust in Him. He is the lifter of your head. He doesn’t bring it down. Even when you’re not sure of the details, you can trust that God is working the situation out for you. God declares in Joel 2:26 that “My people shall never be ashamed.” Praise God in your daily devotion time that you have no shame to claim.

Cry Unto Him

David is reliant upon God. He knows that without Him, He is insufficient. God is His Deliverer, and he knows He can trust His protection and power. He knows God can do anything but fail. Whenever you are in a difficult situation, ask for God’s help. He has promised never to leave or forsake you.

In Psalm 46:1, David proclaims, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” In today’s daily devotion, thank God you can go to Him in prayer. You can cry unto Him.

The Lord Hears

God hears you when you call. The psalmist in Psalm 145:18 says, “The Lord is near to all who call on Him.” The Lord’s proximity reflects His love and care for you. The Lord is vigilant; He knows the challenges you face. He knows the enemy stands ready to attack. In today’s daily devotion, know that God is listening and He hears you.

God Saves You

It’s wonderful that you can look to the Lord. You can enter His presence in prayer or cry out to Him. But without God’s salvation or deliverance, it would be for nought. Throughout Scripture, we see how God saved His people: Joseph from a pit, the Hebrews from Pharaoh, Daniel from the lions’ den, and the three Hebrew boys from the fiery furnace. God has an awesome track record.

Rejoice in your daily devotion time, trusting in the God who has a history of saving His people.

Final Word

There’s a song with a line that repeats, “There’s no god like Jehovah. ” You can look to God and be enlightened, not ashamed. When you cry unto Him, He hears and saves you. God is great and worthy to be praised! In this daily devotion, shout out a praise unto God, the One who saves you from all your troubles.
