RuPaul’s Drag Race is an unstoppable force. With the franchise just finishing its whopping seventeenth season, and the All-Stars version just starting its tenth season, there are also more international spin-offs than you can count on both hands. With so many queens that have appeared on the franchise, there are so many fans who would love to see them come back for an all-stars season. Unfortunately, some queens don’t want to set foot on that runway ever again.

Trixie Mattel

Trixie Mattel is arguably one of the most famous and most successful drag queens to ever come out of RuPaul’s Drag Race. We first met Trixie on season 7, and she first came back for All Stars 3, where she took home the crown. Despite winning, fans love her so much that they’d love to see her return for another all-star season.

According to Out, that’s not happening any time soon. In a YouTube video, Trixie talked about why she didn’t appear on All-Stars 7, the all-winners season. She said, “They did ask me to do all winners… but I said, ‘Absolutely f*cking not!’ But you should never say ‘no’ without a number. I should have been like, ‘Yeah, I’ll do it. I want half a million dollars.’ I don’t know why I didn’t go crazy. But I just said ‘no’ because… It’s just not for me, you guys. Drag Race is really hard, and I don’t miss being on it.”

Violet Chachki

Violet Chachki first appeared on the seventh season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, where she took home the crown. Like Trixie, Violet is also a fan favorite, and many Drag Race fans would love to have her back again, especially for All-Stars. Unfortunately, that might not be in the cards for Violet. Despite her season being so long ago, she can’t see herself going back.

In an interview with Gay Times, she said, “I used to say that I would love to go back, but I don’t think so anymore – it’s just not for me. I finally feel like I’m at a place where I can sort of branch out and do other things and work on other projects. And I definitely love working in TV, but the Drag Race fandom in the franchise is just so intense.”

Violet also revealed that being on RuPaul’s Drag Race is pretty taxing both physically and mentally, and she can’t put herself through that again. She said the first time around, she was so headstrong and determined to win, and that’s all that she could focus on, and she wouldn’t do that again. Who knows, though!

Katya Zamolodchikova

Katya Zamolodchikova is one of the most popular and loved drag queens to come out of RuPaul’s Drag Race. We were first introduced to Katya on season 7 of Drag Race, where the audience fell in love with her. She came back for a second time to do the second season of All-Stars, but she unfortunately wasn’t able to take home the crown either time. That didn’t matter, though, because Katya has stayed booked and busy since then, especially with Trixie.

After her time on All-Stars came to an end, fans were already asking if she would give the show a shot again, but she was quick to say that, despite being asked, she turned it down multiple times. In an interview with Them, Katya said, “I don’t know if this is gauche to say… I have been tapped and I have RSVP’d in the negative multiple times.”

Despite not wanting to return to reality TV again, we can still see her all over the internet, on tour, and making us laugh with Trixie.

Gigi Goode

Gigi Goode is another queen that fans have been begging to return for another shot at the crown on an All-Stars season. We first met Gigi on the twelfth season of Drag Race, where she wowed us and the judges not only with her talents but also with her incredible fashion sense.

Since appearing on season twelve, Gigi has gone through a lot. Back in 2021, she came out as transgender and non-binary. She’s made a lot of changes physically and mentally, and is still figuring out a lot about herself.

In an interview with Gay Times, “I had no interest in doing All Stars, and then I was kind of shocked and surprised at how many people wanted to see me there. The thing is, I want to do All Stars, but only after my drag has evolved and changed.

Hopefully, once Gigi gets to a happy place with her drag, she might make a return to Drag Race.

Bianca Del Rio

Bianca Del Rio is arguably one of the most successful winners to ever come out of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Many fans were hoping to see Bianca come back to the show for another all-winners season, but many weren’t surprised to find out that she turned them down.

To many, it would make sense since Bianca has literally been booked and busy since she won season six of Drag Race. She’s been in a number of projects, and she’s been constantly touring, performing her standup comedy routine for fans all over the world.

Bianca, always the funny lady, gave another reason for not wanting to return. In an interview with Pride Source, she said, “Nope. Why? Would you go back to high school?”

Never change, Bianca. Never change.

While these RuPaul’s Drag Race queens might be saying no to a season of All-Stars now, never say never. Maybe if the right opportunity rolls around, we can see them on our screens again!
