And so by acknowledging that at the beginning and saying, ‘Look, audiences aren’t that interested in dinosaurs anymore,’ I thought it was like, ‘Okay, well, this is an honest beginning. Let’s see where we go from here.’”
That is certainly a bold take. Dinosaurs have always been popular amongst fans, but Edwards thinks that is waning. This seems like a wild take, considering how fans have responded to dinosaurs recently.
A Confusing Take
It isn’t just the movies that have been popular. Netflix has released two shows that have been very popular among fans. Jurassic World Rebirth isn’t reviving an old franchise. It is a continuation of a franchise that is very prevalent in our society today. It doesn’t seem like people are losing interest in dinosaurs. The issue with this movie seems to be the lack of dinosaurs.
The reviews on Jurassic World Rebirth have had a consistent message: there is a lack of dinosaurs. People are interested in dinosaurs.
