Prime Video has renewed the Mexican YA dramedy No One Will Miss Us for a third season, with production set to begin in the first quarter of 2027. Camila Misas, head of local originals for Mexico at Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, announced the news during an Amazon MGM Studios panel at the IberSeries conference in Madrid, Deadline reported Thursday, Oct. 1.

Known in Spanish as “Nadie Nos Va a Extrañar,” the show is set in the 1990s. It follows a group of high school outsiders who start charging classmates to do their homework, a side business that suddenly makes them popular.

What Prime Video said about No One Will Miss Us season 3

“After a very successful second season of Nadie Nos Va a Extrañar, the third season is confirmed, with production beginning in the first quarter of 2027,” Misas said, according to Deadline.

She also promised “new faces and new stories.” Samuel Kishi returns as director, Silvana Aguirre stays on as showrunner, and Adriana Pelusi and Gibrán Portela will again write the scripts, Misas said.

Cast members began posting about the renewal on social media right after the announcement, Deadline noted. Mexico is the country of honor at this year’s IberSeries event.

Cast and season 2 recap

No One Will Miss Us stars Nicolás Haza as Alex, Camila Calónico as Marifer, Virgilio Delgado as Tenoch and Macarena Oz as Daniela, according to ADN40.

Season 2 premiered Aug. 7, 2026, on Prime Video, ADN40 reported. The new episodes followed the four friends through their final year of prep school as they kept their homework business going. The series has ranked in Prime Video’s Top 10 in Mexico, according to Deadline.

Who makes No One Will Miss Us

The series is produced by The Immigrant, a company launched in 2019 by former Univision executive Camila Jiménez-Villa and Aguirre, who created “El Chapo.” Fremantle holds a minority stake in the company, Deadline reported.

Deadline first reported the show in 2024, and Prime Video ordered season 2 last year.

When will season 3 premiere?

Prime Video has not announced a premiere date. With cameras not rolling until early 2027, new episodes are unlikely before later that year.
