1. That Christmas on Netflix

Richard Curtis, the producer of Love, is back with a Christmas animated film that will brighten your day. The fantastic series of children’s novels by multiple award-winning author and director Richard Curtis inspired That Christmas. Notting Hill, Love, Yesterday, Four Weddings and a Funeral are some of his highest-rated movies. In addition to lots of turkeys, it tells several related stories about love and loneliness, family and friends, and Santa Claus making a major blunder. As the film’s writer and executive producer, Locksmith Animation’s adorable comedy is Curtis’ first animation effort. It also marks the feature-directing debut of Simon Otto, a well-known animation veteran.

Netflix will release ‘That Christmas’ on December 4, 2024

The film was directed by Simon Otto and titled “That Christmas.” Producers Adam Tandy and Nicole P. Hearon. In addition to Brian Cox, Fiona Shaw, Jodie Whittaker, Lolly Adefope, Alex Macqueen, Katherine Parkinson, Sindhu Vee, India Brown, and Rhys Darby, the cast also consists of Bill Nighy, Andy Nyman, Kuhu Agarwal, Bronte Smith, Zazie Hayhurst, Guz Khan, Guz Cavaliero, Freddie Spry, Paul Kaye, Ava Talbot, Sienna Sayer, and Jack Wisniewski.

2. Carry-On

A young TSA agent battles to deceive a strange traveler who blackmails him into allowing a dangerous good onto a Christmas Eve aircraft. Carry-On, produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment and starring Taron Egerton from Kingsman. In 2024, it will be released, making it one of Netflix’s most anticipated movies. Carry-On, which was first announced in July 2022, is one of the projects in the pipeline developed by Amblin Partners as part of their overall arrangement with Netflix signed in June 2021. Executive producers are identified as Brian Williams, Scott Greenberg, and Seth William Meier.

The film is scheduled to be released on Netflix on December 13, 2024.

The action thriller Carry-On was written by T.J. and directed by Jaume Collet-Serra. Fixman and Michael Green. The film’s cast includes Gil Perez-Abraham, Jason Bateman, Sofia Carson, Danielle Deadwyler, Sinqua Walls, Logan Marshall-Green, Theo Rossi, Josh Brener, Dean Norris, Tonatiuh, Curtiss Cook, Joe Williamson, and Taron Egerton. Holly Bario, Amblin’s president of production, will manage the great project on behalf of the company. 

3. The Six Triple Eight

The Six Triple Eight is named after the first and only Women’s Army Corps unit of color to serve overseas during World War II. Given a unique purpose and united in their determination, these unsung warriors brought hope and broke down challenges. Netflix has announced that Tyler Perry’s next film, “The Six Triple Eight,” will open in select movie theaters on December 6. The film, which stars Emmy winner Kerry Washington, is based on true events during World War II. 

Netflix also issued a teaser and numerous first-look photographs to offer viewers an idea of what to expect. WWII History Magazine’s story “Fighting a Two-Front War” by Kevin M. Hymel inspired “The Six Triple Eight.” The plot revolves around the Women’s Army Corps’ first and only unit of color to serve overseas during World War II. Despite these challenges, they stayed motivated to complete their task, breaking down boundaries and delivering. 

Release Date:

December 20 will be the Six Triple Eight‘s streaming service premiere. Many are excited for this date and are looking forward to being able to see the premiere. Are you one of those people?
