Five Nights at Freddy's 2 (2025)

Why The “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” movie Is Worth Watching

Alright, “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” (aka FNAF 2), it’s been highly anticipated, it’s been highly sought after, is it worth watching at all? Yes, absolutely yes, it is so amazing and great! It’s definitely a good, scary movie with some moments of fluff. Now, where should we start? The plot? The voice actors? The animatronics? The deaths? There are so many choices! Let’s start with the plot and characters, and whatnot!

“Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” Summary

Okay, so, before we get started, if you have no idea what I’m talking about, we’ve covered the “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” trailer here if you wanna read it. Now, there’s Matthew Patrick as Toy Bonnie. There’s also Megan Fox as Toy Chica. Anyway, both of them actually fit the characters they play; it’s surprising. It’s also a little jarring hearing Patrick’s voice come out of Toy Bonnie, to be honest.

Now, the plot? The “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” location is revealed and predates the “Five Nights at Freddy’s” 1 location. There’s Charlotte, the soul who possesses The Puppet, and she’s actually portrayed as a vengeful spirit; it’s incredible to see.

Abby goes to the location with the Toy animatronics and befriends Toy Chica. Toy Chica helps Abby with a science fair project, and after it’s destroyed by an irritatingly condescending Robotics teacher, Toy Chica goes to Abby’s school to help Abby with the science project.

Toy Chica kills the teacher, and as far as the other Toy animatronics? Toy Freddy goes to FazFest, which is a Halloween-style costume party for FNAF and whatnot. Toy Bonnie goes to a little girl’s house and nearly kills her mom. And Mangle attacks Vanessa’s car.

That’s not everything, but I don’t want to spoil the entire plot, that would make the movie kind of pointless, and it shouldn’t be pointless. So, now, it’s time to compare the movie to the games, and we’ll see how it compares!

“Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” Movie Versus The Game

All things considered, they’re pretty similar, canonically-wise. We have the Toy Animatronics, we have the Withered Animatronics, which in the movie were used as prototypes, so there’s a slight difference, but it isn’t bad.

A big difference is The Puppet itself. The way The Puppet moves in the “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” movie is kind of similar to Ballora from FNAF: Sister Location. She’s all spidery and whatnot; it’s creepy. They did get the music box and the Freddy head right in both the movie and the game, which is nice. They also got Foxy being unaffected by the Freddy head right too! It’s super nice to see them get it right. Now, time for the real question: is it scary?

Yes, the movie is absolutely terrifying with its jump scares, with Balloon Boy, seriously, he is so creepy. The way The Puppet attacks and possesses people is both different from the games and just as petrifying. Overall, it’s very similar to the games with a few differences. Now it’s time to talk about some Easter eggs you’ll only understand from the games and the fandom.

“Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” Easter Eggs

There are two that I noticed, but there are almost definitely more. The first one is for a fan game called Five Nights at Candy’s. It’s basically like the FNAF 1 game but with custom animatronics and whatnot, it’s super old but well-known.

The second Easter egg, if this counts as one, is Shadow Bonnie. In the “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” movie, you can see Shadow Bonnie in the corner of the office for about a second before he disappears. It’s super cool to see! Before we end this review, let’s talk about the post-credits scene and Michael Afton.

Michael Afton Character & Post-Credit Scene

Alright, so we have Michael Afton now, he’s canon in the games and in the movies, super exciting, right? He’s gonna be just like the game character, right?

Well, my dearest readers, I’m sorry to disappoint, but he is not like his in-game counterpart at all. He wants to continue his father’s legacy, and he likes the killings. It sucks, but maybe he’ll change by the time the next movies come out, hopefully.

Now, the post-credits scene is super exciting. We get Springtrap! We actually get him, we see his design, and we know that Fazbear Frights is basically happening. That likely means we’ll get a “FNAF 3” movie! It’s super cool to know that this series likely won’t end anytime soon!

Final Thoughts For “Five Nights At Freddy’s 2”

Overall, it’s a super good movie, it’s horrific, it’s terrifying, there’s actual jumpscares and everything! There’s also one more thing to talk about. We see a legitimate Circus Baby in the movie, which hopefully means we’ll get an “FNAF 4” and “FNAF 5” movie! Now, have a great day, and I hope you’ll go watch the movie, it’s so worth it!
