Jack Veal is a 17-year-old British actor, who played Kid Loki in the critical-acclaimed Marvel TV series, Loki. Recently, Veal revealed that he’s homeless when he shared his situation on TikTok. Moreover, he explained that he escaped his abusive home and is living in a trailer in London. Besides Loki, the actor had notable roles, including the dark comedy, The End of the F***ing World.
Difficult Living Situation
Despite his success, Veal has struggled with personal issues but has only started addressing them publicly. Opening up about his difficult past, Veal revealed more details surrounding the abuse he experienced at home. Specifically, he suffered physical and emotional abuse that left a lasting impact on his life. Due to this abuse, Veal’s mental health has been affected as he’s been diagnosed with autism and ADHD. Currently, he’s being screened for additional mental health disorders, particularly psychosis and bipolar disorder.
In addition to his mental health struggle, Veal also went in-depth on his living situation. As of now, his grandparents cannot take care of him as his grandfather is dealing with a terminal illness. With nowhere to go, Veal has no stable place to rest or call home. Even reaching out to social services for support was a dead end with him claiming they refused to help.
Current Living Situation
In the TikTok video, Veal also says he’s been forced to sleep in the streets on numerous occasions. Although he’s living in a trailer, it’s in bad condition with smashed windows. Not only that but the trailer is two hours away from his workplace, making commuting and getting to work on time difficult. Additionally, his trailer lacks basic necessities, like electricity, which puts him in an unsafe living environment.
However, Veal’s been using a portable charger to charge his phone and stocks snacks for food. Taking the focus away from himself, Veal also spoke on the government’s treatment of children. The Loki actor also pleaded with his audience to tell others his personal story and raise awareness of child abuse. As showcased in a recent video, his trailer is a precarious and cramped space. To “fix” the broken windows, he uses a single piece of paper to cover them.
In desperation, Jack Veal is looking to his fans for help, using TikTok to spread his story in hopes that he can receive much-needed support during this tough time. Ultimately, Veal’s story is a stark reminder of the difficulties many teenagers are facing. Continuing to seek support, he is urging his fans to share his story, so that other vulnerable children like himself can get the proper help they need to live a decent life.
Veal Finally Found A Place
On December 2nd, Veal released a follow-up video expressing his gratitude to his fans for their support. Likewise, he emphasized that his main goal is to receive assistance from social services. In an additional video, Veal updated his fans about his living conditions as winter approaches. The dropping temperature makes his situation even more difficult. While he continues to pressure social services for aid, he remains uncertain about his future.
