Linkin Park dropped out of the music scene in 2017, after the tragic death of vocalist Chester Bennington, from suicide. They’re rocking stages again!
Who is Linkin Park’s New Vocalist?
The 38-year-old singer, Emily Armstrong, has been with the band since 2024 with their eighth album, “From Zero.” She previously performed as part of the duo Dead Sara. She met the band in 2019 and started working with them then.
The rest of the band’s lineup includes: Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Joe Hahn, Dave Farrell, and Colin Brittain.
Linkin Park at the UEFA Champions League Final
The big news is Linkin Park’s performance at the UEFA Champions League final. Armstrong was sensational as they performed on the center stage surrounded by atmospheric fog generated by a fog machine and a large group of dancers in front of the stage.
The band performed a short set list that included a new remix of their hit, Numb. In an interview with UEFA, Shinoda had this to say about the remix: “We wanted to put our spin on it and do something based around the sounds of football. It’s built on the sounds of the foot hitting the ball, the ball hitting the net, the fans stomping in the seats. These are the things that, when I’ve been to a match, strike you as the powerful musical elements of being there.”
Hearing Armstrong’s voice instead of Bennington takes a bit of mental adjustment, but she blends well with the band’s sound and aesthetic. Linkin Park has an incredible future ahead of them, and we’re looking forward to what they do next.

The Wrap Up
We know there’s been some controversy around the choice of Emily Armstrong for lead singer. She didn’t start with the strongest image. After seeing them performing together, we can hope that she’ll break away from her initial image because Linkin Park has a lot left to share with the world.
