Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is a new open-world RPG set in the fantastical world of Avalon, inspired by the tales of King Arthur. This dark fantasy RPG was released last May, and just last week, developer Questline released a major update to the game, including new locations, enemies, quests, and more. Here’s all the content that was added in the 1.20 update to Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon.
1.20 Patch Updates
Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is chock-full of updates from new content to patch fixes and quality of life improvements. Here are all the changes Questline made in the 1.20 update of Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon:
Balance Update

According to the developers of Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, they received significant feedback from fans and have rebalanced certain items to make the game more enjoyable. Apparently, fans have claimed the game felt a little too easy during the second half of Act 2 (Cuanacht) and in Act 3 (Forlorn Swords). Questline has rebalanced over 20 in-game items that have been deemed too strong, with the capabilities of one-shotting enemies.
The devs have chosen to rebalance in-game items instead of nerfing characters, so it will not disrupt players’ already established builds. Here is the full list of item rebalances in the game:

Patch Fixes and Quality of Life Improvements
Here is a list of the patch fixes and quality of life improvements added in the 1.20 update for Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon:
- Save files are now merged into one file. This will make it easier for you to manually download working save files from the cloud if needed and significantly simplify many systems. You can now also freely rename your save files, and the game will no longer force rename them (do not change the extension, as they will be ignored then)
- [PlayStation] The above change should fix the saving failed issue that occurred if you explored almost all scenes in the game.
- [Consoles] Added 40FPS mode support. If your screen supports 40 FPS, we recommend enabling this mode along with VSync for a smoother gameplay experience
- [PC] Added loading indicator when the game is synchronizing cloud files. Previously, the game became unresponsive until it finished.
The 1.20 update of Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is available to play now. The devs worked extra hard, listening to players’ feedback over the past several months the game has been out, and now there’s so much more to explore in the game. Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is available to play on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
