Silent Hill Townfall is Available for Pre-Order Now
Silent Hill Townfall is the newest installment in the popular horror franchise, and comes a year after the successful release of Silent Hill f, which featured a new protagonist and location in the series. Silent Hill Townfall follows the same design, introducing a new protagonist, Simon, in the new location of St. Amelia.
After the success of Silent Hill f, Konami announced its decision to release a new Silent Hill game every year, and Silent Hill Townfall is the product of said announcement. It’s a pretty ambitious feat to accomplish, and it looks as if Konami is keeping its word so far. The game is scheduled to release this year, with no release date confirmed just yet; however, Silent Hill Townfall is already available to pre-order now. Here’s all we know about the news.
Silent Hill Townfall Scheduled for Release in 2026
Silent Hill Townfall is the newest game in the Silent Hill franchise. The first reveal trailer was shown during PlayStation’s State of Play last month, which also announced an expected release date for 2026. This installment follows a new protagonist in the series, Simon, who is called back to the town of St. Amelia, which he apparently had ties to in the past. The reveal trailer was really good at teasing fans of the series just enough to get excited about, but not enough to spoil anything about this installment.
As I’ve stated, the release of Silent Hill f was a series success, breaking tons of records, and putting the franchise back on the map after a decade of stagnation. Silent Hill f brought an original story, this time taking place in 1960’s Japan, while also paying homage to the classic Silent Hill games with gameplay and the psychologically oppressive horror players experience. The success of Silent Hill f has prompted Konami to announce their intention to release a new Silent Hill game every year.
Again, this is an ambitious feat, and I’m unsure if this will revitalize the series or hurt it, given how difficult it can be to balance players’ interests and a game’s relevance. I am curious to see how Konami plans to carry out this plan, and it looks like they are off to a great start with Silent Hill Townfall. What’s even more of a shock is that Silent Hill Townfall is now available for pre-order, even before a release date for the game has been announced.
Pre-Order on PlayStation Now

With Silent Hill Townfall now available for pre-order, we should expect a release date to be announced sooner rather than later, especially if the game is releasing this year. Silent Hill Townfall will be available to play on PlayStation 5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store once it releases; however, it seems the game is only available to pre-order at retail stores for the PlayStation 5 port.
These retail stores include GameStop, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and the Amazon Store. Silent Hill Townfall is retailed to pre-order for $49.99. Silent Hill Townfall will also be the first mainline Silent Hill game in the series to feature a first-person perspective while playing as Simon. It’ll definitely up the psychological horror aspect of the game, making it incredibly scary and immersive for players.
With Silent Hill Townfall releasing later on this year, it shouldn’t be long until an actual release date drops for the game. It’s already March, and Silent Hill Townfall is one of the biggest releases of the year. With more trailers and announcements to be expected, one of them should reveal when the game will drop and what we should expect to experience with this installment.
