SAROS: A World Dying Under an Eternal Eclipse

Saros is an action shooter taking place on a planet called Carsona

Welcome to Carcosa, a planet where the sun never fully rises, the shadows never fully sleep, and the sky itself feels like it’s holding its breath. Saros drops you into a world trapped beneath an ominous eclipse, a place where the light is thin, the air is heavy, and every structure seems to be waiting for something terrible to wake up. This is a world that only the strong can endure and survive in.

A Soltari Enforcer Searching for Answers

You play as Arjun Devraj, a Soltari Enforcer sent to investigate a lost off‑world colony. The trailer shows him stepping into Carcosa’s ruins with the calm precision of someone who’s seen too much already. His mission is simple on paper: find out what happened here. But the moment he arrives, it’s clear the colony didn’t just fall but had been swallowed up. Hanging over head like a pulsing omen, the eclipse casts the planet into a dying twilight.

SAROS’s gameplay footage wastes no time showing how fast and brutal combat can be. Arjun moves at impossible speed — dashing, sliding, teleporting, and unleashing bursts of energy that tear through enemies as if they were made of dust.

Every encounter feels like a duel fought at the edge of annihilation. The enemies are creatures that seem as if they’ve been distorted and molded by the eclipse to level the battlefield for you. Their endurance emits furious energy as they lunge and wrap, keeping you in a constant state of motion. The weapon selection is just as fierce, and, making that chaotic energy, are charged with different powers.

  • A rifle that snaps into a shotgun blast
  • A blade that crackles with cosmic energy
  • Abilities that distort the space around you

One of the most unsettling mechanics shown is the World Dial Teleportation system. Arjun uses a strange device to rotate a massive dial, instantly shifting the environment around him. Entire regions slide into place like pieces of a cosmic puzzle.

This fast-travel feature makes it feel like you’re bending the planet to your whim with each turn. Each dialed‑in location looks worse than the last — abandoned temples, broken machinery, alien caverns lit by impossible colors. Carcosa isn’t just dying. It’s rearranging itself.
