Brian Clarke’s Paranormal Activity: Threshold Has Us Shaking with Anticipation and Terror!
“Paranormal Activity” has moved from the silver screen to the internet, bringing its ghastly madness to the gaming world. Brian Clarke, mastermind behind the thrilling immersive Mortuary Assistant, now brings us Paranormal Activity: Threshold. This found footage-style horror game expands the lore and stories of the iconic movie franchise.
Paranormal Activity: Threshold’s Concept

Jessica and Daniel Stewart have purchased a home that needs some love and fresh paint. While filming the renovation, they soon uncover interesting symbols etched into walls and floors. They figure every home has its stories, but they realize this one is harboring secrets not meant to see the light of day. As the couple digs into the drywall, they begin to suspect they may not be alone in the house.
Jessica and Daniel didn’t realize that passing through the threshold of their new home would ignite a chain of events that would unseal a malevolent force. A dark presence arises and toys with inhabitants as they try to make sense of the strange events that unfold. Shadows around the corner, slamming doors, and moving objects are just a few of the mischievous warm-ups this ungodly entity uses to push the Stewarts over and said entity into the living reality.
Clarke is Back and Ready for Round Two!

For those of y’all who didn’t know, Brian Clarke made a name for himself as the creator and developer of the Morturay Assistant back in 2022. The game drips with an oozing tension as you go about the night, prepping bodies in a haunted mortuary. You must process the bodies while looking for signs of a demon responsible for all the mayhem in the building. Find the body it’s possessing, seal it within, place a wooden slab on it with the correct demonic name, and then cremate it before it claims your soul.
With Clarke’s newest horror game announcement, we expect to have a smooth story with just as much tension and unnerving malice. I’m hoping for total immersion and bone-deep fear as we witness the chain reaction of paranormal events that slowly lower us into oblivion. I know for sure we’re gonna get atmosphere, pacing, and demon hunting on a personal level.
The demo will be hitting up Steam sometime after DreadXP’s demonstration at PAX East 2026 between Mar. 26 through the 29th. The convention will be hosted in Boston, Massachusetts, so for those who can’t wait until after, book your passes and tickets! For those who would rather wait, you can wishlist the game right now on Steam!
Game Mechanics From the Teaser
The approach for Paranormal Activity: Threshold has a similar appearance to the Mortuary Assistant. For this, you will be switching between first-person and footage perspectives as you explore the home, witnessing and recording anomalies. The voice acting is the same skill level, really rubbing in the distress of the Stewart couple as the events unwind. We also see similar interactive puzzles relating to uncovering the secrets that will determine the fateful outcome.
Can’t Wait for Another Thrilling Story and Terror
For Paranormal Activity: Threshold, I have a feeling that certain items and symbols will unlock other parts of the lore, just like how you play through the Mortuary Assistant’s story. With that, there will be multiple endings to explore and potentially a secret ending. But only time will tell if my predictions are fact or fiction. Knowing it’s another twisted baby from Clarke, I don’t think I will be disappointed with the features and results.
