Rumor: New PS5 Jailbreak Reportedly Hits Base and Pro Models
If you thought Sony had finally locked down the PS5 for good, think again. A new jailbreak is reportedly making the rounds that works on both the base PS5 and the PS5 Pro, and according to the person who broke the news, it is a big deal.

According to @manfightdragon, the jailbreak covers essentially every PS5 out there with one exception. The leaker wrote: “New PlayStation 5 jailbreak just dropped. Every PS5 console can now be jailbroken except ones updated in the past week or so. Huge.”
That timing detail matters. It suggests the exploit targets firmware that has been out in the wild for a while, rather than the very latest update Sony pushed out. Consoles that grabbed that most recent patch appear to be safe from this particular method, at least for now.
The 13.60 Relapse Jailbreak
Per a video from the MODDED WARFARE YouTube channel, this tool is being called the 13.60 Relapse Jailbreak. The name points to its range: it reportedly works across firmware versions 7.00 all the way up to 13.60.
That is a wide window. For context, jailbreaking a game console means bypassing the built-in software restrictions that keep users locked into the manufacturer’s approved ecosystem. Once bypassed, a console can run unauthorized apps, homebrew software, and modified games it was never designed to support.
The discovery behind this jailbreak reportedly happened weeks before this public release, meaning it was likely tested and refined quietly before circulating more broadly.

Console jailbreaking is not new.
