John Mayer Sets Six Sphere Shows in Las Vegas for April 2027

John Mayer is heading back to the Sphere, and this time he’s bringing three different versions of himself. The 48-year-old Grammy winner has announced six shows at the Las Vegas venue in April 2027, each one packed with a solo set, a full band performance, and a reunion with the John Mayer Trio, as first reported by Just Jared.

The dates are set for April 8, 10, 11, 15, 17, and 18, 2027. Tickets start at $129, with an artist presale kicking off October 7 at 10 a.m. PT, a SiriusXM presale following on October 8, and general on-sale opening October 9 at 10 a.m. PT. Fans wanting VIP or concert-hotel packages can grab those starting September 30 at 10 a.m. PT.

Three Shows in One Night

Each night breaks down into three distinct segments. The solo portion leans into stripped-down performances on acoustic guitar, piano, and electric guitar. From there, Mayer moves into a full band set before closing things out with the John Mayer Trio, the blues-rock outfit he formed with drummer Steve Jordan and bassist Pino Palladino.

That trio format has a history worth noting for longtime fans. Jordan and Palladino have been key collaborators of Mayer’s for years, and their reunion for this run adds a different sonic texture to a night that already spans multiple styles.

Not Mayer’s First Trip to the Sphere

Mayer isn’t new to this stage. He’s been performing guitar and vocals with Dead & Company at the Sphere, and that partnership has already proven the venue can support marathon runs. Dead & Company recently wrapped a 48-show stretch there that drew nearly half a million attendees, a number that underscores just how much demand there is for extended residencies at the venue.

The Sphere itself has become a magnet for artists looking to do something visually different, thanks to its immersive LED wraparound visuals and audio technology built into the room. Structuring a single concert into three separate formats plays right into what the venue can offer, giving each segment its own look and feel rather than sticking to one static show design.

Where the Money Goes

There’s a charitable component built into the ticketing, too. A dollar from every ticket sold will benefit the Back To You Fund. Separately, any tickets sold through auction will send 100 percent of proceeds to the Heart and Armor Foundation, the veterans’ health organization Mayer founded.

Specifics on the Back To You Fund’s exact mission haven’t been detailed yet, and it’s not yet clear how many auction tickets will be made available per show. Those details, along with how quickly presale tickets move, are likely to shape how this run gets talked about in the weeks ahead.

For now, fans have a countdown to circle: October 7 for the first shot at tickets, with general sale following two days later.
