Weekly Free Games on the Epic Games Store March 26 – April 2, 2026
April is almost here, and this is no April Fool’s joke. The Epic Games Store has refreshed their free games, so you have something to hide away with. We have an adorable indie sim for both PC and Mac, a space shooter for PC, and an emotional visual novel for mobile. Let’s talk games!
Havendock

Havendock is a “cozy colony sim” putting you out on the ocean where you’ll collect debris and resources to build your own floating settlement. Add animals, survivors, and you get a thriving community. To survive, you’ll need to create a farm and cook food. You will also become an engineer and create machines and even robots, a submarine, and a rocket!
Once you’ve built boats, you can discover nearby islands. The submarine lets you explore below the ocean. And your friends, the other survivors, will learn to do various tasks to take some of the work off your hands.
Havendock is rated E for Everyone and is compatible with both PC and Mac. The base game is free, and there’s a DLC called Wizard Island for just $4.99 to add the island of Asteria, where wizards are working with magic!
Hyper Echelon

Hyper Echelon is a space shooter inspired by arcade classics that sends you on missions for the Royal Space Force to defend the Cyan Galaxy from a “malicious alien force known as EXODON.” The space carrier, Starhulk, is your base where you can upgrade your ship. And, while you’re fighting the bad guys, you’ll be joined by a “squad of wingmen.”
The game has four difficulty tiers, story mode, survival missions, achievements, and even online leaderboards for those of you who are competitive. In addition to the standard game mode, it includes Arcade Mode, Survival, and Boss Rush. You can play alone or in two-player coop.
Hyper Echelon is free on the Epic Games Store through April 2, 2026, and it’s rated E for Everyone.
The Wreck

The Wreck is a “3D visual novel about family, grief, survival, and buried trauma.” You’ll play as Junon, whose estranged mother is in the hospital, in critical condition. Junon is a screenwriter, and her career hasn’t gone well. And we’re meeting her on the “worst day of her life.”
In the game, you’ll learn about her past through her memories, including a “tragic secret.” You can change what she does during the day, including dialogue options and interactive text.
The Wreck is available for free in the Epic Games Store for mobile on Android and iOS (EU). It’s rated T for Teen. Download the mobile version of the Epic Games Store and claim it while you can!
How to Claim Freebies From the Epic Games Store
Whether you want to play on your PC, Mac, Android, or iOS device, you can find the download information on the Epic Games Store website. If you’re on a computer, you can download the Epic Games Launcher to access and play your games. I know that’s not exactly shocking, and you probably figured that out already.
For the mobile games, you’ll need the QR code. Use the camera on your mobile device to scan the QR code, which will direct you to the download page. You will have to enable downloads from other sources. (Other than the native app store, that is.) This app isn’t available on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. After installing the app, launch it, sign in, and then scroll down to find the current free game.
And that’s what we have for you this week! Check back next week, and we’ll highlight the new game offerings from the Epic Games Store. We’re staying on top of the latest gaming news, so you don’t have to worry about any FOMO.
Happy gaming!
