Equinox: Homecoming v1.4.0 Update Adds Screenshot‑Friendly Tools, New Outfits, and More
May 13, 2026, brought the latest patch to Equinox: Homecoming, the fourth since the game officially released on March 5. The developers have been busy adding features and making quality-of-life improvements that, I think, we can all agree are welcome.
New Cosmetics

Equinox: Homecoming is an RPG, after all. Dressing up your avatar and your horse are important! Two new bundles have been added, along with a smattering of individual items. The Boho Western Bundle and the Neon Riders Bundle include outfit pieces for both you and your trusty mount. I’m personally checking out those western pieces because they are sharp! But the bright neon colors appeal to my 1980s girl heart. You know I’ll be getting both!
In the Gear section, there are new dressage pads, polo legwraps, bows, t-shirts, and more to style your horse and yourself.
Settings & UI Updates

Now this is the truly interesting part of the update. You’ll notice several new settings in the image above. You can now choose to hide player names. Or, if you really want to be alone in the world, you can toggle on “Play Alone” and hide all of the other players! Personally, I think that’s a great setting if you’re trying to take screenshots without other people in them. Speaking of screenshots, you can also toggle the HUD off. I’m very happy to have that option!
There are two updates to the UI as well. After a Crown Chase is finished, the leaderboard will include more information about your rewards. The Journal now has a submenu to view either Alex’s or Kendra’s journal.
Bug Fixes
The list of bug fixes is pretty short for this update. And they all seem minor. But here they are:
- Clothing clipping fixes for items such as the layered sweater, mesh shirt, neoprene shirt, and V-neck shirt.
- Fixed a bug that prevented collectible interaction points from being dismissed if users returned to collected forageables after a race.
- Adjusted the dressage saddle pad to mitigate its gaps.
- Fixed a bug that caused a player’s current horse breed information to display incorrectly while viewing their profile.
- Fixed an issue that caused light overexposure during NPC dialogue.
Equinox: Homecoming – Time to Ride!
That’s it for this update. It wasn’t a large patch, but I think the quality-of-life improvements are an exciting change. I’ll definitely make use of toggling those settings for my screenshots. I do like seeing the other players riding around most of the time, though. It’s fun to see the different horses and the way people have styled them. And, lots of other players means a healthy game!
