Slow Pace Ramps Up

Bin has the advantage in the top lane. He forces Xiaoxu’s Flash early. Xun visits before the Flash is up for the First Blood kill for Bin. JDG responds with a dive onto Viper and ON. Both BLG bot laners die, but not before Viper trades a kill back. Vampire uses Spellbook Teleports towards the top lane to get a kill on Bin.

BLG Breaks Open The Game

The first major teamfight of the game goes in favor of BLG. They earn the first significant gold lead of the game. The Orianna Nocturne combo, followed by Bin’s GNAR, closes the fight. BLG blunders in a bot lane play. Knight steps too far, and XUN contests for no reason. BLG stabilizes for a top lane play, earning kills on Xiaoxu and JunJia. The Baron goes over to BLG.

ON Dies, But It is Not Enough

JDG catches ON, and they try to push forward with the player advantage. Viper and Bin crush the fight despite having one player less. BLG denies the Mountain Soul and gets their second Baron of the game. BLG uses the Baron to end the game.

Early Advantage for JDG

GALA and Vampire get an advantage thanks to their lane matchup. They push it further with two kills on ON in the laning phase. Xiaoxu and JunJia push the top side battle too far, and Knight shows up to guarantee two kills. BLG targets Xiaoxu to counteract GALA’s lead.

JDG Mistime Their Invade

Despite Xiaoxu dying, JDG has a near 3k gold lead. HongQ and JunJia go too far while contesting vision, and both die to halve the gold lead. JDG denies the Cloud Soul point with better positioning. They chase BLG in the ensuing fight, but trade one-for-one.

JDG Caught

JunJia dies in the BLG’s top-side jungle. At the same time, Bin catches GALA. HongQ and Xiaoxu also die when they try to trade kills back. BLG takes the Baron and balloons their lead to 6k. BLG ends the game shortly after Baron falls.

Kills In All Lanes

Across the early game, every laner for JDG dies. HongQ dies twice, and BLG has a 1.6k gold lead at 9 minutes. HongQ dies a second time, following another long-range Crystal Arrow from Viper.

BLG’s Gold Lead Increases

JDG tries to stem the bleeding after the lane struggles. However, whenever they get kills, they can not turn them into an advantage. BLG controls the map and takes all three outer Towers. Even when they kill Viper, BLG crushes the fight. BLG takes the Baron, but does not break open the Towers.

JDG Fights Back

XUN dies in the mid-lane, and JDG gets their first chance of the game to make a difference. They kill Knight when he Teleports in and denies the Mountain Soul. With the advantage, they move to the Baron to recover in the game. BLG shows up and kills four of the JDG members thanks to ON’s Anivia.

The Series Comes to A Close

Xiaoxu enters the Mountain Soul fight by getting onto Viper. Viper flashes away, and Xiaoxu and JunJia die. BLG chases the rest of the JDG team to end the series.

Bilibili Gaming

Bin – 8.3

Bin had the better of Xiaoxu during the series. The streak continues for Bin, winning against the JDG top laner. He had little to do in the Yorick game, besides play frontline.

XUN – 8.3

XUN is the linchpin for the BLG roster. He is the reason BLG has gold leads and wins teamfights. As a result, he is the Total Apex player of the series.

Knight – 7.3

Knight had some unnecessary deaths during the series. Besides those moments, he played well.

Viper – 8.0

Viper returned to form in this series. After struggling at the beginning of First Stand, his laning and teamfighting improved.

ON – 8.0

ON’s Bard was simultaneously a carry and an inter. He gave JDG chances to win game one. His Anivia Support was immense, keeping JDG at bay.

JD Gaming

Xiaoxu – 3.3

Xiaoxu was the second-best top laner in the series. Bin bested him at every turn. He needs to figure out how to beat the BLG top laner.

JunJia – 3.3

JunJia was not given any space in the series. Every time he tried to venture into BLG’s jungle, there was someone there to punish JunJia.

HongQ – 4.3

HongQ also got caught out during the series. He had some moments of brilliance, but that was when they were behind.

GALA – 4.7

GALA’s laning phase in game two was perfect. He surged to a gold lead with the Caitlyn Lux bot lane. However, he died once in the mid-game, and he never recovered.

Vampire – 6.0

Vampire was the only JDG player who stood up in the First Stand series. Whenever JDG found angles to come back in the series, he found them.

A Surprise Meeting

BLG will face G2 Esports in the Grand Final of First Stand, following the LEC team’s dominant victory over Gen.G Esports.
