LoL Esports Week 7 Results Recap: Grand Finals Results Are In

After many weeks of LoL Esports action, six teams have booked their ticket to First Stand. The only teams missing are from the LPL, due to their extensive playoffs and Chinese New Year Break. The Grand Finals results mostly went as expected. The only region with a surprising representative is the LCS. LYON surprised everyone with their victory over Cloud9 in the final.

LoL Esports: LCK Results

The LCK Cup Finals weekend concluded with six games played. Both series ended before they began. FearX earned a rematch with Gen.G Esports, following their 3-0 win over Dplus KIA. However, they could not hold their own as Gen.G surged to the LCK Cup title by winning 3-0 against BFX.

LoL Esports: LPL Results

During the recent week, two teams saw their LPL Split 1 end. Team WE and Ninjas in Pyjamas lost successive matches, resulting in their elimination. They were the two teams that reached the playoffs after starting the Regular Season in the perseverance group. On the other hand, JD Gaming and Bilibili Gaming won successive matches to reach the Upper Bracket Final. The final six teams will battle this week for a chance at the two remaining First Stand spots.

LoL Esports: LEC Results

Seasons change, years change, rosters change, but one aspect remains the same. G2 Esports will always deliver in the LEC Playoffs. They continued their dominance of the region, winning all of their playoff series. Many doubted the team, following their late qualification. Karmine Corp almost pulled off a reverse sweep in the Grand Final to win successive Winter LEC Splits.

LoL Esports: LCP Results

After years of not winning regional tournaments, Team Secret Whales secured a title. They only lost one series throughout the tournament, and none in the playoffs. The Grand Final was a blowout, with Secret Whales winning 3-0. They are the second team to win the LCP since the region’s creation last year. CTBC Flying Oyster, who fell early in the playoffs, is the only other team to win an LCP title.

LoL Esports: CBLOL Results

After the CBLOL Regular Season, no team had asserted their control over the region. RED Canids and LOS looked good, but the latter fell off in the playoffs. LOUD would emerge to take the CBLOL Cup. They are the first winners of the CBLOL after its brief hiatus. Much like Team Secret Whales, they dominated the playoffs, only dropping two games throughout.

LoL Esports: LCS Results

LYON began their run in the Lower Bracket. They could have been in the Upper half, but missed out on the game score. As a result, they took that personally and stormed their way to the Grand Final. Many did not expect them to win the Grand Final against a dominant Cloud9 roster. However, they proved all the doubters wrong and won the Grand Final 3-1.
