Game One Summary

Both bot lanes trade heavily in the early game. Canyon is the only jungler in the vicinity and picks up the First Blood kill. BFX starts to crumble on the First Drake as they give over three kills and lose the smite battle. Raptor tries to stem the bleeding with ganks in the bot and top lane. His play neutralizes Gen.G’s gold lead. Duro dies after attempting to catch VicLa, and Gen.G has to give up the Rift Herald and Second Drake.

A fight breaks out in the bot river. Ruler and Chovy shred through everyone and earn four kills. BFX are first on the Drake, but that does not matter as Gen.G pushes them out on the contest. Raptor and Clear kill Kiin on the botside, but it takes forever. As a result, Gen.G secured the Baron uncontested. BFX thinks they have the advantage after killing Canyon. However, Chovy clutches to pick apart BFX. Gen.G wins the Infernal Soul fight and pushes for the end without needing the objective.

Unfortunately for BFX, they were second-best in this series. In the Upper Bracket Final, they stood up to Gen.G. However, on the big stage, they could not compete with Gen.G and their players. Canyon and Chovy were instrumental in Gen.G’s success in the series. Raptor had the better of Lucid against Dplus KIA, but Canyon never afforded him the space. Raptor had some decent players, but Canyon overshadowed him. His smite timing was always better in the pivotal moments. Despite the defeat, BFX can look forward to First Stand and the rest of the LCK year.
