Destiny 2 Deep Stone Crypt 2026 Raid Guide
The June 9th update brings tiered loot to every raid and dungeon in Destiny 2. Each one will see their weapons get a loot refresh and an individual armor set. The armor sets come with their own set piece bonuses. The Deep Stone Crypt sees the guardians taking on a familiar foe. You will also do so while fighting in space in the Deep Stone Crypt.
Deep Stone Crypt: Loading Into The Raid
Your fireteam will load in on top of a hill in the Eventide Ruins. Jump down and approach the Fallen enemies. Clear all of them to open the door. Hop on your sparrow for the next section.
Deep Stone Crypt: Sparrow Entrance
After travelling on your sparrow, you will move through a door that opens, leading into a bubble. The opening section of this raid requires you to travel from bubble to bubble. Seems easy enough, right? It is easier said than done. Whenever you leave a bubble, you generate stacks of Frostbite. At 10 stacks, you die. The visibility is also low. Follow our recommendations, and you should reach the end in no time.
Bubble 1->2
Reaching the second bubble is easy. Head out of the bubble on the left side and continue forward. Be careful of one spider mine along the path. There are two gaps you need to jump over. Always keep your boost for these gaps to ensure you make it to the other side.
Bubble 2->3
Here is where it starts to get tricky. Wait until your Frostbite stacks disappear before proceeding. Move out the middle section, between two spider mines. Move to the right of the rock, and then left after to dodge both spider mines. There is another gap right after the second spider mine. Boost over and reach the next bubble.
Bubble 3->4
For the next bubbles, we recommend clearing out all the enemies before you proceed. Killing the Fallen will lock that bubble as the next respawn location. Head in the direction of the Fallen enemies’ spawn. Stay towards the right. If you pass by the lights, you are on the correct path. Continue until the next bubble.
Bubble 4->5
For this bubble, head out on the right side of the leftmost Fallen Barrier. Move forward, but be wary of multiple small gaps. You can take this section a little slower to ensure you spot the gaps. You will need to move slightly to the right to cover the second gap. After you cross the third gap, continue forward until the bubble.
Bubble 5->6
Turn back around, while hugging the left side of the gap. Once again, follow the lights on your path forward to find the next bubble.
Bubble 6->7
Peer out of the bubble on the left side until you see a small opening between two rock formations. Drive through the formation. The way you go here is not as important. We recommend heading right first and then zig-zagging your way through until you reach a gap to jump over. Clear out the rest of the Fallen enemies.
Deep Stone Crypt: Shutdown Crypt Security
After heading through the door and heading inside the Crypt, you will reach the Security. You must destroy the Security to proceed. Split into two teams of three. One team stays in the light room, the other team goes to the dark room.
The Deep Stone Cryp Buffs
There are two buffs that you need to understand for this encounter.
- Operator Buff
- Always tasked with shooting panels that glow red
- Scanner Buff
- Always tasked with reading
Assign one player per side to be the Scanner player. You can have one total, but it is easier this way. One player on the light side will be the Operator player.
How The Encounter Works
Underneath the main rooms is another room. When the encounter starts, you can only reach the room with the Operator buff. Some panels glow red for the Operator to shoot, opening the doors to the room below. Before starting the encounter, have your operator and scanner players head down. Separate the room into the dark and light sides, based on the rooms above. On each side, there are five panels. Find each one and number them. One for us is the closest to the door.
For each rotation, the Operator player must shoot two panels on each side. However, he needs the Scanner players to call them. Unfortunately for the Scanner players, you will only be able to read from the main rooms. Peer through the glass to spot which two are on each side. It will always start with the Dark Side and then go to the Light Side.
The Operator player should only head down to the room after the Dark Side Scanner has read. If you are in the room for too long, the security notices and kills you. The way you pass the buffs is through the terminals in the middle of the room. If a Servitor is alive on either side, it will block the terminal. After successfully shooting four panels, the damage phase begins.
The Damage Phase
Have the Operator player deposit his buff at the terminal by the door. Someone upstairs picks it up, and then the last Scanner player deposits their Scanner into the terminal. The Operator picks up the Scanner and now looks on either side of the terminal. Here you will notice three fuses on each side. One of them will glow. Call it out. The fuse corresponds to the exposed fuses upstairs. Only shoot the one the downstairs player calls. Wait until the next callout to shoot again. If you do not break all six, repeat the process.
Deep Stone Crypt: Atraks-1, The Fallen Exo

The traversal section for this part is easy. Head through the now-open door, near the chest. Continue forward until you need to drop down and turn to a door on the right. Head through to the opposite side of a large room to reach the next encounter. You will watch Atraks-1 reawaken Taniks before fighting her. The buffs return for this encounter.
Once again, split your team into two teams. One player per group is the Scanner. Team 2 will also have the Operator player. Team 1 stays in the starting room. Team 2 takes the pods up to the next level, in space. At first, the Operator player from team 2 must stay in the first room for the Operator buff. The Scanner buff drops from a Fallen enemy. There will be three Servitors in each room. Killing all six starts the damage phase. Wait until everyone is ready to kill the last one. When the Operator player reaches
The Damage Phase
Damage starts in the top room. Four Atrak’s appear. The Scanner player will see one glowing. Call the one that is glowing and wait until the three players are ready. Shoot that copy at the same time. After the copy dies, it drops a ball on the ground. Have the non-buff player walk over it. Picking up the orb gives the player a debuff timer. If it hits zero, a copy spawns, and you will wipe. Shooting the orb knocks it off the player and resets the timer.
The Scanner player should deposit the buff in the terminal for the bottom team. At this time, the other two players must go to one of the ducts on the side of the room. The Operator player shoots the panel to open the door. The player with the Replication steps inside, and the Operator player shoots the orb off him. Doing this will cleanse the orb, and the player can step out. Bottom team deals damage, and the player who picks up the orb must head to the top for cleansing. Repeat one more time per floor for the full damage phase. If Atraks is not at her Final Stand, repeat the process.
Final Stand
Everyone must head to the top for Final Stand. Numerous Atraks copies spawn. The Scanner player must look for the glowing one. Keep killing the copies until she dies.
Destiny 2: Third Traversal Section
A door opens on the right side of the room. Move through and clear Fallen enemies until you reach another door. Get ready for one of the greatest pieces of music in Destiny 2 history: The Deep Stone Lullaby. The jumping is tricky here; take your time as you move through, clearing out enemies. Eventually, you will reach a platform with a handful of Fallen enemies, which include Brigs. Kill all of them and enter the door. Once everyone is inside, the other door opens. Continue through until you reach the next encounter.
Deep Stone Crypt: Taniks Part One – The Descent
Before you start the encounter, take note of the four boxes in the middle of the room. Assign each one a name. We utilize the entrance and the boss for callouts. As a result, you will have entrance left and entrance right, and a boss left and boss right. Use whatever you feel comfortable with.
The Suppressor Buff
The encounter introduces a third buff, the Suppressor. The player with this buff will always need to suppress the boss. However, you can only do it in specific sections. When you have the buff, you will see small blue circles under a ball. Stand in the circle and shoot the boss. You will need to shoot him at each circle to suppress him successfully.
The Rest of the Encounter
Assign a player per buff, with one extra as a rotator. At the start of each phase, the Scanner player must look at the four boxes. Two of the four boxes glow; call those boxes. At the same time, three panels throughout the room will glow. The Operator player shoots one of them. Two panels that the Operator did not shoot will spawn cores. Any two players, except the Suppressor, should pick up a core. When you pick up a core, you will start to build up radiation. At ten stacks, you die. Deposit a core at the boxes called out by the Scanner.
You can only deposit a core when the Suppressor players successfully suppress Taniks. If your radiation gets too high, have a player take the core off of you. After successfully depositing a core, one of the buff players will become deactivated. Deposit your buff in the terminal and have the extra player pick it up. Repeat the process five more times, before the door in the middle of the room opens. Run quickly to the other side.
Deep Stone Crypt: Taniks Part Two – The Abomination

After the crash landing, progress forward to reach the final encounter. The three buffs return for this encounter; however, our method will mean you do not need to use the Scanner buff. Assign two players per side of the arena. One player closest to the rally will be the Operator. The Suppressor buff will go to one of the players on the farthest side of the arena. Everyone else becomes a core carrier. Start the encounter and clear Fallen enemies.
Eventually, the boss moves to one side. Everyone should follow him. Shoot his legs once they become vulnerable. Be careful of a purple beam, which will kill you after a short duration. Dealing enough damage to each leg drops a core. Have a player pick up each core. You will always deposit cores at the boxes, not near the boss. The Suppressor player should start their suppression. While the players with cores run towards the boxes, the Operator player must pay close attention to them. At times, one of the players will become detained. Shoot the pimples on the bubble to break them out of detainment.
The Damage Phase
After depositing all four cores, the damage phase starts. Have everyone gather near the boss. Eventually, damage starts when he creates a ring of debris around him. Jump inside the debris to deal damage. Periodically, the boss will knock you backwards, and you need to jump inside again. He will do this twice before damage ends. If you reach the damage threshold, the Final Stand starts. Repeat the process if you do not reach the threshold.
The Final Stand
During Final Stand, the boss will teleport around the arena and start shooting his purple beam again. Dodge the beams and kill Taniks.
