Demon Slayer Infinity Castle re-release

Eternal Palace Sakura releases Nov. 5, 2026 on Nintendo Switch and PC. The fast-paced roguelite action game features a Taisho-era Japanese aesthetic inspired by Demon Slayer’s visual style.

The 3D-action title is not connected to the Demon Slayer multimedia franchise, despite its Taisho-era Japanese aesthetic drawing immediate comparisons from fans and press alike, CBR reported.

Shochiku Games has not announced a price for the Nov. 5 release, according to CBR.

What we know about Eternal Palace Sakura

Players take control of a protagonist named Retla, who relies on speed and agility to chain together flashy hack-and-slash combos, according to CBR. Because Retla specializes in close-range combat, players must master her “quick dodging” techniques to keep attack strings alive without getting hit.

The action unfolds inside an “ever-changing Japanese-style palace,” a setting CBR noted echoes the shifting corridors of Demon Slayer’s Infinity Castle even though the two properties share no official link.

Why it matters: the game isn’t finished yet

The version arriving Nov. 5 is not the complete experience. Developer Denneko Yuugi is running a crowdfunding campaign to finish building out the title, CBR reported.

The planned full release will add more than 50 enhancement items for players to customize their runs, along with more than 20 enemy types, including new “Oni” monsters not yet shown publicly, according to CBR. A hardcore “endless mode” with an infinite level count is also planned for the full version.

Denneko Yuugi set a crowdfunding goal of 500,000 yen, roughly $3,170. As of Oct. 2, 2026, the campaign had already raised 923,000 yen, about $5,850, CBR reported.

What’s next for Eternal Palace Sakura

Denneko Yuugi’s crowdfunding campaign is scheduled to close Nov. 19, 2026, two weeks after the game’s initial Switch and PC launch. Backers can earn rewards including themed merchandise and Steam download keys that grant access before the official Nov. 5 release, according to CBR.
