Pokémon unveils $10,000 gold Gholdengo collectible for 30th
The Pokémon Company has released a $10,000 solid-gold collectible to mark the franchise’s 30th anniversary, a 24-karat yellow gold Gholdengo figurine made in partnership with SGC Corporation, according to CBR.
The figurine debuted at the Yokohama Great Gold Exhibition, a six-day expo that started Sept. 30 at Yokohama Takashimaya and runs through Oct. 5, CBR reported. The event showcases a range of gold products, from commercial goods to classic artisanal pieces, alongside the piece.
What was announced
SGC Corporation teamed up with The Pokémon Company to produce the Gholdengo figurine specifically for the gold exhibition, according to CBR. Gholdengo, a Pokémon species made of coins, is a fitting choice for a precious-metal collectible tied to the franchise’s milestone year.
The figurine carries a $10,000 price tag, reflecting its 24-karat gold construction, CBR reported. The piece is one of several gold collectibles on display at the Yokohama expo through Oct. 5.
What it means for fans
The gold Gholdengo adds a premium showpiece to a year already packed with 30th-anniversary releases. Fans have seen a steady stream of tie-in products in 2026, including dozens of new Pokémon LEGO sets and merchandise collaborations with brands like Adidas, according to CBR.
The Trading Card Game has also rolled out its own 30th-anniversary celebrations this year. Fans looking for a more accessible way to join the festivities can check out the Pokémon 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box, which carries a far smaller price tag than the gold figurine.
