Lil Wayne announces engagement to Madi Cannon
Lil Wayne announced Monday that he’s engaged to Madi Cannon in a video posted to Instagram by fellow Hot Boys member B.G. The rapper, 44, was congratulating B.G. on his own engagement when he revealed the news about Cannon, 23, saying, “And I’m marrying this one. This is Madison. This is my fiancée.”

B.G., 46, posted the video and captioned it, “My lil Brodie gave me his blessings,” tagging Wayne’s Instagram account. In the clip, Wayne told B.G., “I’m the best man, you hear me? Love you, bitch,” while Cannon smiled alongside him.
A rekindled relationship
The engagement marks a reconciliation after a split. According to TMZ, Wayne earlier this year announced they had split, saying he didn’t want to be a “burden” to someone he had “a beautiful thing going with.”
According to Page Six, TMZ reported in May that Wayne had proposed “earlier this year,” though the outlet only identified his fiancée as a woman in her 20s from Indiana at the time.

Wayne (born Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.) was previously married to Antonia “Toya” Johnson from 2004 to 2006. He is a father of four: daughter Reginae Carter, 27, with Johnson; and sons Dwayne Michael Carter III, 17, Kameron Carter, 17, and Neal Carter, 16, with other partners.
In May 2025, his ex-girlfriend, plus-size fashion model Denise Bidot, 40, posted to Instagram claiming Wayne ended their relationship and removed her and her daughter from his home on Mother’s Day. In a separate video, Bidot accused Wayne of physical abuse.
