LCK Cup 2026 KT Rolster Review: World’s Finalists Fall Earlier Than Expected

LCK - League of Legends Champions Korea in LoL Esports

After KT Rolster’s Grand Final appearance, they made changes to their roster. For the LCK Cup, they replaced their botlane with Aiming and two Supports. Pollu and Ghost shared time throughout their matches. The inability to find consistent Support, among other reasons, led to their defeat. They became known as a team that failed to close out games. They lost twice while having a gold lead above 10k.

KT Rolster Player Review

PerfecT

  • Total Apex Rating – 5.4 (tied 9th among top laners, tied 38th among players)
  • Champions Played
    • Renekton (5)
    • K’Sante (3)
    • Rek’Sai (3)
    • Sion (2)
    • Ambessa
    • Gnar
    • Kennen

PerfecT was a stable top laner during the World Championship. He was not a dominant player during the World Championship. He fell short of that mark in the LCK Cup. He was not the reason for KT’s downfall, nor did he achieve success.

Cuzz

  • Total Apex Rating – 5.7 (tied 7th among junglers, tied 33rd among players)
  • Champions Played
    • Wukong (4)
    • Vi (3)
    • Dr. Mundo (2)
    • Jarvan IV
    • Jax
    • Jayce
    • Malphite
    • Nocturne
    • Sejuani
    • Sylas
    • Xin Zhao

Cuzz was one of the pivotal parts to KT’s success at the World Championship last year. However, he did not reach that performance level in the LCK Cup. Cuzz struggled to meet the mark that his team needed from him.

Bdd

  • Total Apex Rating – 6.2 (tied 3rd among mid-laners, tied 14th among players)
  • Champions Played
    • Taliyah (6)
    • Azir (3)
    • Akali (2)
    • Ryze (2)
    • Zoe (2)
    • Ahri
    • Syndra

As has always been the case with a team, Bdd is in; he delivered dominant performances. His consistency was not as prevalent, but he played a pivotal role in some games. He led KT’s comeback against Nongshim Redforce.

Aiming

  • Total Apex Rating – 5.2 (9th among bot laners, tied 44th among players)
  • Champions Played
    • Lucian (3)
    • Yunara (3)
    • Aphelios (2)
    • Corki (2)
    • Ezreal (2)
    • Caitlyn
    • Kai’Sa
    • Miss Fortune
    • Varus
    • Ziggs

Aiming was often a linchpin for the teams he played on in the past. The last time he was on KT, he helped them finish first in the 2023 LCK Summer Regular Season. However, he struggled to find that level of performance in the LCK Cup.

Ghost

  • Total Apex Rating – 4.9 (tied 9th among supports, tied 49th among players)
  • Champions Played
    • Braum (3)
    • Neeko (2)
    • Alistar
    • Bard
    • Blitzcrank
    • Karma
    • Nami
    • Rakan
    • Thresh

Ghost played Support for the first time in a professional team during the LCK Cup. He had decent performances. His lack of familiarity with the role showed. He struggled under pressure and did not contribute consistently.

Pollu

  • Total Apex Rating – 4.3 (tied 11th among supports, tied 51st among players)
  • Champions Played
    • Nautilus (3)
    • Alistar
    • Rakan

Pollu had fewer opportunities than Ghost did. However, he did not take advantage of the chances he got. Pollu died often out of position. However, the lack of game time did not allow for improvement.

LCK Cup Review

The roster changes were an indication that KT would struggle in the LCK Cup. Their lack of guaranteed Support meant the team had not figured out their direction. It became evident early that neither Ghost nor Pollu was best suited for the role. KT struggled to execute teamfights. Part of that reason was the weakness of their Support. They suffered the worst comebacks during the LCK Cup. After losing two leads above 10k, questions circle the team. They had everything they needed to win those games. The loss to T1 was bad. However, the series against DNS was worse. Not only was the opponent a weaker team, but it was the game that would knock them out of the competition.
