First Stand 2026 Loud Preview: Home Crowd Advantage Was Not Enough
First Stand 2026 was the first international event hosted in Brazil since 2017. As the CBLOL Cup winners, Loud had a chance to represent Brazil in front of their home crowd. They almost beat the LCS first seed in their opening series of First Stand. However, they did not follow up on the performance against JD Gaming. Will they appear at the Mid-Season Invitational using lessons from their First Stand losses?
Loud First Stand Results
Loud played two series at First Stand. They lost 3-2 in their opening series. Two days later, they lost 3-0 in the fastest series of the tournament.
- Lost 3-2 Versus Lyon
- Lost 3-0 Versus JD Gaming
Loud Player Review

Xyno
- Total Apex Rating – 5.5 (tied 5th among top laners, tied 28th among players)
- Champions Played
- Ambessa (2)
- K’Sante (2)
- Sion (2)
- Ornn
- Renekton
Xyno came into First Stand with hype behind him. He was the best top laner at the CBLOL. He delivered on most counts, standing up to Dhokla and Xiaoxu in their series. While his team struggled against JDG, he was a shining light.
YoungJae
- Total Apex Rating – 5.4 (8th among junglers, 30th among players)
- Champions Played
- Aatrox (2)
- Nocturne (2)
- Jarvan IV
- Qiyana
- Viego
YoungJae was Loud’s best player in their series against Lyon. He got his team leads while playing Aatrox, a champion not well known for ganks. In the series against JD Gaming, he got Xyno ahead. However, that often came at a cost to his bot lane.
Envy
- Total Apex Rating – 4.8 (7th among mid laners, tied 35th among players)
- Champions Played
- Aurora (2)
- Akali
- Annie
- Mel
- Ryze
- Syndra
- Vex
Envy had a much better than expected series against Lyon. Many thought he would be a liability. However, he held his own until his Vex game. He struggled against JDG, with HongQ winning the lane.
Bull
- Total Apex Rating – 4.8 (7th among bot laners, tied 35th among players)
- Champions Played
- Kalista (2)
- Ashe
- Caitlyn
- Ezreal
- Miss Fortune
- Sivir
- Zeri
Bull was solid in the opening series against Lyon. He had little chance to impact either match. The first was because the game did not revolve around him. The other, his jungler’s presence on the top side, meant he was always behind GALA.
Redbert
- Total Apex Rating – 4.6 (8th among supports, 38th among players)
- Champions Played
- Renata Glasc (2)
- Alistar
- Leona
- Lulu
- Nami
- Neeko
- Seraphine
Redbert’s most notable play of the tournament was their second game against Lyon. His Flash Hostile Takeover allowed Loud to win their first game of the tournament. Much like Bull, he did not have a chance to impact the series against JD Gaming.
First Stand Results

Loud had the perfect opportunity to represent Brazil in front of their home fans. The first series was almost ideal for Loud. However, they did not translate the crowd’s energy into a series victory. They had to play against a vengeful JD Gaming in the follow-up series. The LPL second seed came off a disastrous loss against Gen.G Esports. Loud were second-best in the series and had no chance to take a game.
Had Loud gotten a chance against Team Secret Whales, they might have won a series in the tournament. Loud has the opposite problem to Team Secret Whales. They play slowly in the early game and focus on winning in the mid- and late-game. They will return to the CBLOL with one spot to qualify for the Mid-Season Invitational.
