Justin Bieber celebrated his 32nd birthday on Sunday in a quiet gathering at home in Los Angeles, California, with his wife, Hailey Bieber, and their son, Jack Blues Bieber, who will be one in August. No big birthday bash. No public antics. No hard partying. The singer spent his birthday with just simple, quiet time with family, friends, and some cake.

Bieber Celebrates With A Quiet Gathering

Justin Bieber celebrated his 32nd birthday by blowing out candles on a cake with his family and friends. The singer posted a touching tribute to himself and gratitude for spending his birthday with his wife on social media. He posted on Instagram, which was obtained by People, and captioned the post, “no one id rather spend my birthday withhh.. :)).”

The gathering also included longtime manager Scooter Braun. Hailey Bieber kept the birthday tribute very simple on Instagram, sharing a black-and-white picture of her husband, Justin Bieber, holding Jack, posting the caption, obtained by Geo News, “Happy birthday to my favourite person.” Also obtained by Geo News, the 32-year-old artist posted a selfie, and he didn’t need to use a lot of words with his caption, “32 feels different. Grateful.”

The pair were enjoying some fresh mint tea and wine for the quiet celebration. Hailey Bieber reshared her husband’s post to her own Instagram stories, with the cute caption, also obtained by People, “Dada mama, dada mama,” referring to their son, Jack. Perhaps the most heartfelt birthday message came from Justin’s mother, Pattie Mallette, 50, who marked the occasion with a carousel of childhood photographs on Instagram, which was also reported by People.

Per People, Mallette wrote, “32 years ago, my life changed forever. You became my son, my heart, and my greatest lesson in love. Nothing has ever been the same. You’ve lived in my heart ever since.” She went on to add that her son had “so much more ahead of you. So much purpose. So much redemption,” before signing off: “I love you Justin Drew Bieber. Always.” Justin Bieber’s father, Jeremy Bieber, 50, also shared a throwback photo of the two on his own Instagram page to mark the milestone.

Bieber’s Public Fame Upbringing

In 2007, Braun came across videos of the then 13-year-old singer singing covers on YouTube. Not too long afterwards, Braun set up a meeting with Usher, and the singer got signed. His debut in 2009 with his EP “My World” made Bieber the first solo artist to get four top singles on the Billboard charts before releasing a debut album. The EP debuted at No. 6.

The singer’s career began before he could even drive, and he was brought into the industry partly by strangers on the internet. Bieber has sold over 150 million worldwide, which makes him one of the best-selling artists ever. In addition, he was on the Time 100 most influential people list at just 17 years of age in 2011.

The career trajectory has not been without turbulence. Justin Bieber has spoken openly over the years about the toll that early, relentless fame took on his mental health. He stepped back from touring in 2017, citing exhaustion.

He was candid about struggles with anxiety and depression in the years that followed. Health issues, including a 2022 facial paralysis diagnosis caused by Ramsay Hunt syndrome, twice forced him to pause touring commitments. His 2021 album “Justice” and his “Changes” era showcased a more grounded perspective of an artist who grew up almost entirely in public.

His catalog continues to generate streaming numbers that most artists never approach in a lifetime. And at 32, with a potential festival headline ahead of him, the career that started with a kid and a camera in Ontario appears to have significant runway left.
