The hearing included autopsy photos, descriptions of dismemberment, and evidence that D4vd ordered chainsaws and wading pools used to dismember her body, with her DNA found in his garage.
Two of her fingers, one tattooed with the name “David,” were severed. Deputy District Attorney Beth Silverman said during the hearing, “Based on the mountains of evidence presented, all of the allegations have been proved way beyond the standard required.”
D4vd Defense Argues Lack Of Intent
D4vd’s attorney argued there is no evidence of deliberate intent to kill, claiming the medical examiner’s homicide ruling was too vague to support murder charges. The defense also pointed out that the victim had repeatedly asked to see the singer, suggesting the relationship was more complicated than prosecutors are presenting. The judge, however, found probable cause for special circumstances including lying in wait, killing for financial gain, and killing a potential witness.
