It was announced earlier today that Chuck Norris has reportedly been hospitalized in Hawaii, according to TMZ. Sources told the outlet that some sort of medical emergency had happened within the last 24 hours on the island of Kauai. While the nature of the emergency has not been made public, Norris is said to be in good spirits. TMZ also reported that no representatives for Norris were immediately available for comment.

The legendary martial artist and actor turned 86 on March 10 and appeared to be doing well just days ago. On Instagram, Norris celebrated his birthday with an outdoor boxing video and wrote, “I don’t age. I level up. I’m 86 today! Nothing like some playful action on a sunny day to make you feel young.” He also told his followers that he was still “setting goals, pushing forward and choosing discipline over comfort.”

Story Is Still Developing

Because Norris had just shared that birthday post and TMZ reported he was training on the island as recently as Wednesday, whatever happened appears to have developed quickly. For now, though, the exact cause of the medical emergency has not been disclosed. TMZ’s report says Norris was joking and in good spirits, but until more information is released, the situation remains a developing story.
