Daily Devotional Tuesday Thoughts | July 14, 2026

In Tuesday's daily devotional, a man's hands are folded in prayer on top of an open Bible.

It’s Tuesday, and time for your daily devotional. The believer’s life is a faith journey. Every day your faith should increase because growth is essential to your development as a Christian. You can’t please God without faith; the righteous live by faith, and you’re saved by grace through faith. In today’s daily devotional, nothing’s more vital to a believer’s life than faith.

Maturing as a Believer

As you grow in faith, you’re maturing as a believer. God spoke the universe into existence by faith; the invisible became visible. When He formed man from the dust of the ground, He breathed His life into him, and man became a living soul. Nothing in the universe is equal to God or has creative power in its voice. However, man does, through faith.

When you confess Jesus with your mouth and believe in your heart that He rose from the dead, you receive salvation. Your words activate the faith in your heart to receive what you spoke forth. In your daily devotional, your salvation isn’t a physical manifestation. However, a spiritual transformation has taken place, and you’re now a new creation. Some outward signs should demonstrate your devotion to God.

Developing Your Faith

As a believer, your spirit should dominate your life, not your flesh or emotions. Paul prayed in Ephesians 3:16 that believers would be “strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man.” Developing your faith means becoming stronger spiritually. The “might” of God refers to His strength and power, or His omnipotence. Through Christ, you’re empowered to live a faith-filled life.

Paul continues in verse 17, praying, “That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith.” Everything you receive from God as a believer is received by faith. In this daily devotional, you must live knowing Christ dwells in your heart. Living with Christ in your heart is life-changing.

Faith Believes the Impossible

Faith is more than a feeling. It has spiritual weight and power backed by God. Jesus told His disciples in Mark 11:22 to have faith in God. Faith is a creative force and changes things you can physically see. When Jesus cursed the fig tree, the disciples saw the next day that it had withered. In John 11, Jesus stood before the cave where Lazarus had lain dead four days.  In verse 48, by faith, He spoke, “Lazarus, come forth.”

Everyone saw the physical manifestation of Lazarus coming forth bound and in his graveclothes. Faith believes the impossible. In today’s daily devotional, legendary gospel artist Vanessa Bell Armstrong’s song “Faith That Conquers” declares faith “sees the invisible, expects the incredible, and receives the impossible.”  Your faith can conquer anything.

Faith Can Conquer Anything

Paul continues praying in verse 17 that believers be “rooted and grounded in love.” As important as faith is, it needs love to operate. Galatians 5:6 says that faith works by love. In 1 Corinthians 13, “The Love Chapter,” he says in verse 2 that “though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.” In this daily devotional, love is the original word used for “charity,” and it’s critical to your faith walk.

Receive God’s Love and Walk by Faith

In Tuesday’s daily devotional, you can’t dismiss love or sweep it under the rug and do mighty works for God. The world doesn’t promote the God kind of love; the Holy Spirit plants it in your heart as a seed when you’re born again. You must cultivate it. In today’s daily devotional, receive God’s love and walk each day by faith.
