Daily Devotional Thoughtful Thursday| June 11, 2026
It’s Thursday, and time for your daily devotional. Always look for exciting things about walking with God. Having a relationship with the God who created the universe is wonderful. He’s like no other. You can be assured that when you are in His will, your outcomes are greater. In today’s daily devotional, prayer can be a journey into a life fuller than you ever expected.
He Has Given You Access
Some people think that the world has the best things. There’s beauty in the earth because God made it. You can see His creative beauty all around, so enjoy everything you can. However, the world is temporal. Therefore, the most beautiful and lasting things are in God.
He has given you access to Himself in the Spirit and through prayer. Your relationship with God is your deepest, most intimate, most adventurous of them all. Don’t let anything disrupt it. In today’s daily devotional, don’t allow the offense of man to short-circuit your relationship with God.
An Adventure in Faith
Walking with God is exciting because it’s an adventure in faith. God’s word is filled with promises that are yours through faith in Him. In Mark 11:24, Jesus declares, “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” This promise is contingent upon you knowing God’s word and believing His promises belong to you. Therefore, you receive them in your spirit by faith.
When you’re aligned with God’s will, you pray confidently. While naysayers or circumstances may oppose you, hold on to His word. In your daily devotional, faith believes God’s promises no matter what; seeing in the spirit realm is part of your faith journey.
Invited to God’s Throne

As beautiful as the faith life is, there is something that can absolutely derail it: unforgiveness. This negative spiritual flow rears its ugly head to distract you. When someone offends, slights, or mistreats you, keep your focus on the One who is good to you always. In verse 25, Jesus instructs, “And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” In today’s daily devotional, God invites you to His throne to receive grace in times of need. However, there are some prerequisites.
You Forgive Others
God requires you to forgive others. It’s not always easy, but forgive anyway by letting go of anything adverse done to you by someone, whether intentional or unintentional. Nothing is worth losing fellowship with God, the Vindicator of wrong. Jesus was reviled, persecuted, and crucified, yet He forgave. In this daily devotional, don’t let unforgiveness hinder your prayers or come between your relationship with God.
Sign of Spiritual Maturity
Jesus states in verse 26 that “if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.” Like everyone, you need the Father’s forgiveness. But can you expect His forgiveness when you refuse to forgive others? A sign of spiritual maturity is incorporating the word into your everyday life. In your daily devotional, step away, pray, and meditate on God’s goodness.
The Greater One Lives in You
In Thursday’s daily devotional, realize hurting people hurt others. Often what you see is a cry for help, an indication of unresolved issues. And most definitely, the person isn’t in right fellowship with God. In your daily devotional, no matter what comes your way, declare you can do all things through Christ. Say it out loud, “I forgive.”
