Daily Devotional Wednesday Wisdom | June 10, 2026
It’s Wednesday, and time for your mid-week daily devotional. Jesus directed His disciples to a prayer life which gave them access to the Father at any time. They wouldn’t need a priest, a prophet, or even Himself to usher them into prayer. If Paul and Silas had required Jesus to be physically present in the Philippian jail to pray for them, they wouldn’t have been delivered. In today’s daily devotional, you have an individual relationship with God; therefore, you have access to Him in prayer.
Communion With God
Jesus informed His disciples of upcoming difficult days in which they’d need communion with God. In John 16:32, Jesus says, “Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.” When guards entered the Garden of Gethsemane with their swords and staves, all Jesus’ disciples eventually ran in fear.
After Christ’s resurrection, He was in another form. They had to cultivate their prayer life with the Father, as they deepened their relationship with Him. In Jeremiah 29:12, God promises to hearken unto your prayers. In your daily devotional, you are in a covenant agreement with God, and your prayers avail much.
He Never Leaves You Alone

What Jesus says to His disciples seems, at first glance, troubling. He speaks of being scattered and alone, which appear to be negatives. In John 8:29, Jesus had given them this insight: “And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone.” The Father never left Jesus alone; therefore, He never leaves you alone. When the veil of the temple was torn, it signified that the way to God was open. He is available to you; you’re never abandoned.
Joseph wasn’t alone in the pit, Daniel wasn’t alone in the lion’s den, and the Hebrew boys weren’t alone in the fire. God was right there with them, and He’s with you also. Knowing that God’s presence is with you should make you confident of God’s love. In this daily devotional, you may be physically scattered from others, but not from God. He abides with the body of Christ as a whole, but He abides with you individually as well.
His Promise of Peace
In verse 33, while they may have felt dismayed by Jesus’ words, He declares, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” Jesus’ words shouldn’t trouble you; He offers His peace to you, and through Him you have peace with God. Live in His peace. In your daily devotional, say out loud, “The world is filled with trouble, but my peace is made possible by Christ alone.
Christ Has Given You Access
In Wednesday’s daily devotional, you have righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. The world may try to mimic the peace of God, but there are cracks that eventually show up, and the whole facade crashes. God’s peace isn’t temporal; it surpasses understanding and can only be experienced in Him. Through your prayer life, God offers you perfect peace as your mind stays on Him. In this daily devotional, remember that prayer is the key and faith unlocks the door. The key to all the riches of God’s Kingdom is available to you through prayer. Christ is the Door and He has given you access.
