Singer Ciara made three surprise runway appearances at Junya Watanabe’s Spring 2027 show during Paris Fashion Week on Saturday, Oct. 3, while proudly displaying her baby bump. The 40-year-old performed in three different looks, all centered on purple leggings with hot pink racing stripes, a low-slung black belt and red heeled boots.
For her first walk, Ciara layered a tan trench coat over the colorful base and topped the outfit with a black embellished cap. On her second appearance, she swapped the coat for a black leather jacket decorated with zippers, dangling hardware and metallic embellishments.
What Ciara Paris Fashion Week moment meant to her
The runway experience held deep personal significance for the Grammy winner. “I’ve always dreamed of walking the runway in Paris,” she wrote on Instagram after the show. “Junya Watanabe having me walk in your show was a Major Dream Come True!”
Ciara admitted she had worried about how the designer would react to her pregnancy. “I was honestly afraid that when I mentioned I was with child, you say it doesn’t fit the vision anymore, but you said YES!!” she continued. The crowd responded enthusiastically to her surprise appearance, and her husband Russell Wilson showed his support in the comments with heart and raised-hands emojis.
The pregnancy and what’s next
Ciara and Wilson announced they were expecting their fifth child together on Sept. 6, sharing the news on Instagram with the message “One more person to love.”
The new baby will join Ciara’s four existing children: Future, 12 (with ex Future); Sienna, 9; Win, 6; and Amora, 2 (all with Wilson). Ciara has not slowed down since announcing the pregnancy, she performed at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas just days after the news broke, taking the stage to sing “Goodies” and “1, 2 Step” while incorporating a dramatic backbend into the set.
