Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal won us over in Season One of ‘The Last of Us’ and, on April 13, the show will be back on HBO with more action and drama. The onscreen relationships may be what had us mesmerized but the pair of actors have formed a friendship outside of the show as well. When you see them in interviews together, that friendship is obvious for anyone with eyes to see.
Bella Ramsey Regarding Their Costar
Bella Ramsey, who identifies as nonbinary, was recently interviewed by Craig Melvin on TODAY. They said, “He’s the most, like, generous scene partner that you could ask for. He’s amazing. He is as nice as he seems. He’s wonderful. It’s just a lot of fun. We laugh a lot.”
In a June 12, 2023, article on People, the two of them explained that they met for the first time on set. Even though they had both been on Game of Thrones, they didn’t work together then since their characters didn’t meet either. They shared how they were nervous because they started that way. Bella said, “We were very much just thrown in. And that chemistry was just there immediately and just grew and developed as Joel and Ellie’s did. As their relationship developed so did ours.”
Pedro Pascal’s remarks about Bella Ramsey are equally glowing. People quoted him as saying:
I couldn’t have asked for a more anchoring, generous, thoughtful teenager. And I don’t mean to say that in a patronizing way. I relied on Bella for so much of the experience. We were both scared and shy about that, but Bella just inspired me to be mature about it.” I really don’t think I’ve met anybody like Bella. They brought the best out of me as a person.
‘The Last of Us’ Season Two
Season Two picks up with Bella Ramsey’s character, Ellie, five years after the last episode of Season One. If you’ve played the Last of Us video games, you probably already know what’s probably coming. But, for the rest of us, there will probably be some surprises and shocking situations.
The Last of Us follows the survivors of a global pandemic brought on by a fungal infection that turns the infected into zombies. Ellie is possibly the only one who has a cure. But the end of the first season left everyone in a precarious place as the result of a lie. The entire season was a rollercoaster of emotions with well-developed characters, and we can only hope for more of the same from Season Two.
In their interview on TODAY, Bella Ramsey tells us that the new season has more action, and she had a lot of fun doing the stunts which took many takes and left her exhausted at the end of the filming day. Will you be tuning in for the new season? We can’t wait!
