Jujutsu Kaisen Makes Miraculous Return For Season 3 Production

Jujutsu Kaisen

Jujutsu Kaisen Season Three is currently under production by Studio Mappa and will be highly anticipated next year. After the Shibuya Incident arc in season two, fans will likely have to wait at the earliest in mid or late 2025. But that may be ambitious for a big animation studio with plenty of major projects in development.

Mappa is working on their other esteemed franchise, Chainsaw Man, and its massive film The Reze Arc on the big screen. There was a two-year wait from its first season to its second for Jujutsu Kaisen, so it could be some time till we see the Culling Games arc get an adaptation.

The teaser dropped right after the conclusion of season two for Jujutsu Kaisen in December of last year, as fans will have to wait a bit longer for the full trailer. Showcasing an early sketch work, Toho will have high expectations with the continuation of its prized shounen. The brief clip has some important characters with Geto, Megumi, and Yuji making their return.

It could be like its first season with potentially 23 or 24 episodes with a few key arcs to cover from its beloved manga. The second season split into two parts, with Jujustu Kaisen‘s first section, Hidden Inventory or Premature Death arc, covering just five episodes. The remaining 18 episodes were focused on the iconic Shibuya Incident and its tragic events for our main cast.

Following Mappa’s Anime After the Shibuya Incident

To catch up on Mappa’s mainstay series, Jujustu Kaisen‘s first and second seasons, along with its 2021 movie Jujutusu Kaisen 0, all available for streaming on Crunchyroll. Netflix added its first season and film, making it a must-watch for new anime viewers looking for an action-packed, dark show.

Alongside Jujutsu Kaisen in 2024 or 2025 comes other big anime series, like Demon Slayer’s trilogy of movies. One Piece’s Live-Action is also getting a second season next year on Netflix, with both available to stream on the Netflix platform to binge-watch in the meantime.

Big Three Manga Arcs Likely Adapted in New Season

The three arcs that will headline Jujustu Kaisen Season Three include the death game, and battle royale Culling Games Arc. But that isn’t before setting it up potentially with Itadori’s Extermination Arc and Perfect Preparation Arc from the manga. This involves the aftermath of season two and the consequences of the main cast’s actions.

Jujutsu Kaisen‘s Shibuya Incident ended in a literal bang, as a crossroads was split between the prominent characters from Jujutsu High involving the main villains. More potential fights between the two sides will be set up in these two arcs before the big Culling Game Arc.
