The couple initially met when filming Spider-Man: Homecoming, becoming fast friends. Holland plays Peter Parker and Zendaya plays MJ, an alternate universe version of the well-known Mary-Jane Watson. While MJ and Peter barely interacted in the first film, Tom Holland and Zendaya were the subject of many dating rumors. The rumors were denied, the two even dated other people, and then publically came out as a couple in 2020. Since then, fans have only grown to love the couple more.

Aside from her surprise engagement, Zendaya received her second Golden Globe nomination. She was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series for her HBO hit show Euphoria. The second season stunned fans as they watched Zendaya deliver a powerful performance, one that awarded her a Golden Globe. She was more recently nominated for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her steamy tennis romance Challengers.
She was nominated alongside Cynthia Erivo, Amy Adams, and more. Demi Moore ended up taking home the Golden Globe for her role in The Substance. Dune: Part Two was also nominated for Best Motion Picture, which would have had Zendaya on stage accepting an award as well.
