The annual CMA 2024 was staged as always in style at the Bridgestone Arena, located in Nashville, Tennessee. One notable absence was 28-year-old country music singer Zach Bryan. Though Bryan was nominated for the Musical Event of the Year category through his song record ‘I Remember Everything’ which featured Kacey Musgraves, he decided to skip the ceremony, which let down many of his fans.
Zach Bryan Chose Peace Over Glamour
While Kacey Musgraves was in attendance, Bryan opted to spend his evening with his dog, Jack Daniels alone. Looking all beautiful posing cliffside at a rocky beach and sharing a beautiful moment that can be felt through the screens of our phones on Instagram, the singer had no reason to rue not attending a prestigious event. This quiet evening looks like an intention, as Bryan had to deal with a problematic private life after a successful Oprah Winfrey show breakup with Brianna LaPaglia. Or under her most known artist names, Barstool’s Brianna and Brianna Chickenfry.
A Messy Public Breakup
After ten years of marriage, Bryan and Brianna LaPaglia officially separated, and the latter posted it on his Twitter account on October 22. While he has yet to speak out in detail, LaPaglia has been vocal about the tumultuous marriage partly with accusations of emotional abuse. In an interview on a podcast, Brianna LaPaglia claimed Bryan was manipulative and described how the relationship harmed her health.
She also disclosed that she turned down a non-disclosure agreement allegedly given to her by Zach Bryan’s team not to speak anything about their separation. His country songs are often emotionally charged has not commented on the claims and as a result his fans and the public walk around guessing on the aftermath of the issue and the repercussions concerning his private life and musical career.
Balancing a Demanding Tour Schedule

Still, the country star’s music crosses personal as well as professional aspects, helping his fans all over the world. This might also be in line with what the Shazam singer needed, balance between the disorder the CMA Awards and his tour, and his health.
So, throughout 2017, fans will be wishing for the country star to gain some sense and become at least semi-peaceful to use the pain in his life to continue to produce more heartfelt songs. While his presence is notably absent from even the CMA Awards advocacy on how he intends to interact with the country music community in the future is left hanging.
Thoughts on Zach Bryan’s Status
It might now be evident to some fans why Bryan could have decided to not attend the 2024 CMA Awards. Because of other personal and professional issues, he is going through in his life. His decision to sit out was quite regrettable but it offered the general public a confirmation he was steering clear of social interactions in a time of chaos.
While the tour still takes up his time, Bryan admits to having to deal with personal matters did not detract from his ability to perform.
