KT Rolster managed to qualify for the Worlds Bracket Stage, which many deemed a lucky draw. Winning against CTBC Flying Oyster would not be enough to prove that they deserved their spot. KT went a step further and demolished CFO 3-0 in the second-fastest quarterfinal in Worlds History. They made a statement and have more than earned their position in the Bracket Stage.
Worlds 2025: KT Rolster Versus CTBC Flying Oyster
Summary
The series ended before it started. KT dominated from start to finish. CFO had fleeting moments to stay competitive, but their hopes were quickly dashed. The closest game was the final one, but even then, KT had a stranglehold on it. The notable performance came from Peter. He was the best player on the rift and guided KT towards a victory. Whenever KT attempted a play, Peter was right there to ensure it was executed. HongQ struggled to find his footing in the series. However, that was less a result of his faults, but more a consequence of the targeting and preparation by KT.

KT Makes History
The organization has never made the semi-finals of a World Championship until today. KT has been in the quarterfinals on three separate occasions before today. They were bested by their opponents all three times. Many expected them to bomb out again against CFO. However, they managed to rewrite history, defeating the LCP 1st seed in record fashion. Only T1 managed to win a quarterfinal series at Worlds faster than KT. That win came against LNG Esports in the 2023 World Championship.
KT Meets GenG Esports
KT will face off against GenG for the third time in a Bo5 in a month. They managed to pull off a shock victory in the first meeting, but fell swiftly 3-0 in the second. Can they pull off another upset and defeat the favorites to lift the Summoner’s Cup?
